Disabled doesn’t mean impossible. 💙
Autism, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is a developmental condition that affects how individuals communicate, interact, and experience the world around them. No two individuals with autism are the same—each person has unique strengths, challenges, and ways of learning.
Early support, understanding, and access to the right resources can make a life-changing difference.
📍 Local Resource:
Families in the Houston area can connect with The Autism Society of Texas, which offers support groups, education, and helpful resources for individuals with autism and their families.
At Scarred Not Broken, we believe that disabled doesn’t mean impossible—and no one should have to navigate this journey alone.
If you or someone you know has a child with autism, needs support, or is looking for resources, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. You can message me here or email at [email protected] 💙

This Black History Month, we honor the legacy of a music legend who refused to let blindness define his future.
Losing his sight at a young age didn’t stop him from dreaming — and it certainly didn’t stop him from achieving greatness. Through determination, resilience, and an undeniable gift, Ray Charles rose to become one of the most influential musicians of all time. He didn’t allow his disability to limit him… he learned how to navigate the world differently and still reached the top.
His story is a powerful reminder: a disability does NOT mean inability. You may have to do things a little differently, take a different path, or work a little harder — but you can still achieve your goals and accomplish anything you put your mind to.
At Scarred Not Broken, we believe that life may leave us scarred, but we are certainly not broken. Your challenges do not disqualify you from purpose, success, or greatness.
If you or someone you know has a disability and are looking for resources, support, or guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to help you thrive.
