DON’T MISS OUT THIS TIME
4 Days – Telling the Story in Glass
Kelly Crosser Alge from Modern Ancient Glass at Hot Glass Houston
February 14-17, 2014

Folks begged us to bring Kelly Alge back so they could have a chance to learn her amazing art of “Telling the Story in Glass”. We are thrilled to announce Kelly will be here for 4 days in February. Don’t miss Kelly this time around! All skill sets welcome!

This intensive workshop will teach you to use glass powders to draw incredible two dimensional imagery in glass. Explore traditional ideas of drawing using a non-traditional approach; using glass to interpret line, value, contrast, texture, color, and composition. In addition to learning technical processes to bring fine art and fine craft together, you’ll have freedom to experiment with ways of creating pieces that tell a story, evoke emotion, and express mood.

Master Class – 4 Days with Richard Parrish
Only 4 students – Beyond Working in the Shallow Space
Finely Tuned Bas Relief in Kilnformed Glass
February 7 thru 10, 2014 – Friday thru Monday – 9am to 5pm

Offered for the first time anywhere, join us for this select master class with Richard Parrish limited to only 4 participants. Unlike workshops which focus on a series of small samples, Richard will work with the 4 students each creating 7 to 8 large 8” x 8” finely tuned Bas Relief studies. Each of these studies alone can be considered fine art in glass. This is a highly focused follow-up to Richard’s intro to working in the shallow space with deeper explorations into variations in design, variations in color, the effects of layering, thick and thin formats, stringers, powders and reactivities to enhance results as well as your own personal artistic resolution. Lunch will be provided each day to maximize your time with Richard in the workshop. $1,275 with $500 due at registration. Call 281.257.1499. www.HotGlassHouston.com
