My nephew was born on my birthday... and maybe his middle name is Daniel because of my dad (his grandfather), but I like to think I gave him my name and my birthday. This kid had his bar mitzvah, and I took this photo just outside the temple as he was arriving. He truly is a superstar. He read the Torah beautifully and gave such a beautiful tribute to his parents that he had me in tears. I am so proud of the chess champion, viola-playing, and soccer star that he is, but I am so very much more impressed by his heart and kindness, which are reflections of the God he serves, the commandments he promises to keep, and the parents that raised him. Mazel Tov!
