With Validation around the corner, we just wanted to share some important reminders about photos. To make the process run smoothly, please ensure that photo submissions meet the following requirements:

💥One animal per photo
💥4 x 6, in color, on photo paper
💥Animal in profile view with exhibitor not blocking the animal
💥Full body of the animal and exhibitor must be in the photo
💥Exhibitors face clearly visible
💥Animal must have blankets and all leg coverings removed in the photo.
💥Animal and exhibitor must make up 90-80% of the photo (close distance)
💥Family tagged animals should submit 1 photo per exhibitor and animal
💥Photo shall have exhibitor’s name, animal tag number, and brief animal description on the back listing any identifying unique markings

Photos not meeting the requirements must be retaken.
NO LATE photos will be accepted after the last validation date.
At the time of validation, the exhibitor or exhibitor’s parent/guardian must verify the animals

‼️Last Call For Animal Validation ‼️
If you were not able to validate your animal at the Jumpstart Jackpot last weekend, we will be holding one more validation this Sunday.
Make sure your livestock project is properly validated and all required information is submitted. A little preparation now means a smoother path to the fair later! All large animals MUST be validated to show at the Harris County Fair in October.

✅Use the link below to fill/ print your validation form and bring to validation day. DON'T FORGET to have it signed by your Ag advisor!
✅Animals validated through Harris County Extension office for State Fair/majors do not need a HCF tag to show at HCF but MUST attend HCF validation.
✅All species validation day is this Sunday, July 26th at the Gerald D. Young Ag Center in Katy.
