Float2Fly is seeking volunteers for our summer swim programming! We are offering FREE swim lessons and water safety instruction every Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, June 13, 2023 through August 4, 2023 at multiple locations. Programming is open to Houston residents of all ages and aims to prevent water-related accidents in our area.

NO swim teaching experience required! Each class will be led by a WSI-certified head instructor; volunteers will be in the water assisting the lead instructors. Current and former swimmers or swim coaches are especially welcome, and anyone looking for volunteer hours can get theirs while helping the community.

Volunteers can sign up for as few or as many days as they would like at any location. All volunteers will receive Float2Fly swag: stickers, swim caps, or even a Float2Fly t-shirt!

All interested volunteers should email [email protected] for details and instructions.

What are we fundraising for?

Last summer, we partnered with the City of Houston to provide free water safety and swim lessons to over 400 children and adults. This summer, we hope to expand our programming to reach at least 1000! Our fundraising goal of $10,000 will put us one step closer to being able to provide such programming.

If you have any questions, let us know at [email protected]. We hope to see you there!
