Many people believe they have to hit a breaking point before they can benefit from therapy. The truth is, you don't have to wait until you're in crisis to ask for support.
Therapy can be a space to process life's challenges, understand yourself more deeply, strengthen your relationships, learn healthier coping skills, or simply invest in your emotional well-being. Seeking help isn't a sign that something is wrong with you. It's a sign that you're choosing to care for yourself.
If you've been wondering whether therapy might be right for you, let this be your reminder that you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Our team is here when you're ready.

Many LGBTQIA+ individuals face unique stressors that can impact mental health, including rejection, discrimination, family conflict, and the pressure to hide or minimize parts of themselves.
Pride Month is a reminder that acceptance and affirmation are not just important, they're protective. When people feel safe to be who they are, they are more likely to thrive.
At Pinkerton Psychotherapy, we are committed to creating a space where clients can show up authentically and be met with compassion, respect, and understanding. We are proud to have LGBTQIA+ affirming therapists on our team who specialize in working with this community and understand the unique experiences and challenges that may arise.
This month, we celebrate authenticity, resilience, and the importance of creating communities where everyone feels they belong.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, but at Pinkerton Psychotherapy, we believe mental health deserves attention all year long.
Healing doesn’t always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like setting a boundary for the first time. Asking for help. Letting yourself rest without guilt. Learning how to feel your feelings instead of avoiding them. Choosing to stay connected to yourself even in hard seasons.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, relationship struggles, burnout, grief, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, you do not have to do it alone.
This month is a reminder that your mental health matters, your story matters, and you are worthy of support.

Finding the right therapist for your teen matters, especially someone who understands the realities of today’s school environment. Evan Whitaker brings experience as both a Certified School Counselor and LPC Associate, allowing him to connect with adolescents in a way that feels relatable, supportive, and practical.
Evan works with teens navigating anxiety, school stress, peer relationships, emotional regulation, self esteem, and life transitions. He also offers after school and weekend availability to better support busy families.
If you have a teen who could benefit from additional support, we would love to connect with you.
To schedule, email [email protected] or call/text (713) 800-6999.
