These winds have been crazy lately, right?! Unfortunately some experienced more damage than others. We were able to rebuild some fence sections for a friend after the strong winds a couple weeks ago.

We are also in the middle of a Primary Bedroom And Bathroom remodel (stay tuned for transformation photos!), among other interior and exterior residential projects we have going on!

For everyone that has a standby generator like Generac, I discovered something when I had mine serviced. The tech informed me that when it was installed it should have had a surge protector installed on the bypass switch which was not done. This protects the switch from spikes and lightning strikes that can burn up the module in the bypass switch. So for $235 I had one installed. Lot cheaper than replacing the module. He also told me there should be a label on it for the fire department informing them to turn off the generator as well as the main in case of a fire. The generator would come on just like it does when you lose power, so it needs to be turned off as well. I am attaching a picture of the label, and you can see the small box at the bottom which is the surge protector. Takes about 20 minutes to install.
