C3J Ranch

Kyle, Cody , Sergio and Zach came out to the ranch for a little hunting and to relax. It may look like a successful hunt but with four hunters and only three trophies I can't call it a success. I promise I will make it up to Mr Sergio. Kyle and Zach both got beautiful trophy axis bucks. Cody got him a beautiful trophy black buck. With all three animals a total of ten tracking yards. Great shooting gentlemen. Look forward to the next trip.

Zach made his second trip from Nebraska and this time he brought his dad, Tim. Zach was finally able to get his big aoudad switching gears last year and taking a big black buck. Mr Tim originally set out for a velvet axis but couldn't pass on this oryx bull. Congratulations fellas and thanks for letting C3J be apart of those father sons memories. Next April we will get those axis bucks.

With all the rain and the full moon last weekend we had the cards stacked against us. Zach, Nathan and Heather made the best of the opportunities that we were given. Zach got him a giant Nilgai bull and Heather got herself a beautiful velvet axis buck. Both made great shots and easy recoveries, which is always a plus with the size of the nilgai. It's your turn next time Mr Nathan. Love when families make memories together at the ranch! Thank you

Going to try and keep this as short as possible. A lot of firsts for the ranch and the hunters. All in all 5 big axis bucks, big aoudad ram, 35" oryx and a Nilgai cow. Steven got things rolling with his 31" aoudad ram, Bryan got his first axis a 33" monster, Phillip got him a beautiful velvet axis and a 35" oryx, Bubba got him a big axis and a freezer full of Nilgai. Donnie and his son Sam made a combo hunt on two beautiful axis bucks, one being a 9 pt. Will brag about Sam for a second making a free hand neck shot on a moving axis to drop it in his track. Making plans on doing it again in September and looking forward to it!

My buddy George asked me a while back if I had any openings for an axis hunt available and at the time it was going to be late summer before we would have a chance. I had a last minute opening and we were able to make the best of it. George brought Stephanie and Reed out for little hunting. The weather was perfect and so was the hunting. Reed made a perfect shot on his first harvest ever on a beautiful axis doe. Stephanie followed up the next morning on an absolute stud 33" velvet axis!
