The Southeast Wolfpack has done it again running their current win streak to 4 and improve to 8-4 on the season with a Dominate performance at the plate in a one sided affair 9-1 against the Warriors of Beaumont.
Battling the blisterring heat the Pack got off to a great start on defense going 3 up 3 down in the first inning. With RHP Ronald Baughman getting the nod to start on the hill for the Wolfpack. Baughman went 3.0 IP giving up no runs. In the bottom of the 1st the Pack would send 5 batters to the plate with Erick Herrera reaching. While running the bases, Herrera was left stranded, but also in the process the heat really got to him and after the top half of the 2nd the Wolfpack had to go to the bench early and bringing in Daniel Jimenez to LF.
Your SE Wolpack would get on the board first with a 2nd inning lead of Homerun by lefty swinging first baseman Austin Garza as he took a 1-0 fastball over the right-center field fence. Garza would get the rally going again leading off the 4th inning with a full count HBP to reach first. Next up Manny Garcia walked, Brandon Gonzalez, reached in a fly ball error and with bases loaded Mike Baughman walked to score Austin Garza and make it 2-0. Joshua Solis then singles in Manny Garcia to make it 3-0. With Brandon Gonzalez moving to third, Mike Baughman moving to 2nd and Solis at 1st. Bases loaded no outs Edward Resendez popped out. Danny Jimenez then singles in Gonzalez and keeps the bases loaded with the Pack up 4-0. With bases still loaded Miguel Gonzalez hits a Sac Fly to right field and tagging to score was Mike Baughman. Advancing to 3rd Solis made his turn home on an errand throw but was thrown out at home to get the final out of the 4th inning.
RHP Manny Garcia would come in to pitch in relief fir the 4th and 5th inning surrendering 0 Earned Runs striking out 1 and walking 2. The Pack would add insurance run in the 5th inning with Ronald Baughman leading off with a double down the line and a rbi single by Austin Garza to make the score 6-0. Manny Garcia would gorund out into fielders choice with Garza out at 2nd. Brandon Gonzalez would then hit into an inning ending double play.
With the score 6-0 the Wolfpack would continue the trend if pitching by committee and bringing in LHP Austin Garza to pitch in relief of Garcia in the 6th inning. Holding the Warriors scoreless in the 6th with one hit, 1 K, and no runs. The Pack would go back to work and shut the door on the Warriors of Beaumont in the bottom half of the 6th when they would lead off with not one but 2 lead off HBP when Mike Baughman and Joshua Solis both get hit. That would be everything Lead Off hitter Edward Resendez would need as he broke into the hit column in a huge way blasting a 3 Run Shot over the left center field fence. Followed wi ta bases empty double by Miguel Gonzalez. But that would be it as the Pack would send Garza back out to the mound in the 7th to preserve the 9-0 run and 8 run-rule after 7 innings to win the game. Austin Garza stuck out one more and had a throwing error to allow one unearned run and to end the game 9-1 and secure the Win for Manny Garcia!!

After a forfeit win against the Hou Sox last weekend, the Wolfpack looked to go 2-0 to start the Summer Season on tue Southeast Division of the Liga Obrera Baseball league. After a tough lose in the playoffs for an early exit during the winter season, the Pack looked to start strong.
With just enough players to play for the Wolfpack and some injuries and early exits, the Wolfpack went wire to wire with the Rays. Ronald Baughman toes the rubber for the Pack going 3.0 IP 5H, 2ER, 3Ks, 2BBs, 1HBP. The Rays got to Baughman early and often in the 1st getting a string of 3 consecutive hits and going up 2-0. But #5 held his composure and got the final out without anymore damage being done. In the bottom of the first the Wolfpack was able to scratch a run back after a 2 out single by Lefty Austin Garza.
In the 2nd inning Ronald Baughman settled in and got through a quick 2nd inning but so did the Rays as the Pack went down with out a fight. But in the 3rd the pack would get a walk and consecutive hits by Baughman and Garza the Wolfpack would take the lead 3-2. But that would not be all, with a walk by OF Justin Garza and a hit by Manny Garcia, the lead would extend to 4-2. Erick Herrera would ad a single two batters later and make the score 5-2.
But the Rays would not go away as they added a single run in the 4th and 5th inning off reliever LHP Austin Garza who also pitched 3.0 IP gave up 4H, 1BB, 1K, 2ERs. The score was 6-5 going into the 7th inning.
Manny Garcia came in to close the final 3 innings of the game. 3.0 IP 3H, 2Ks, 2BBs, 2HBP, 3Rs, 2ERs. With the Pack adding one more insurance run in the 8th the game would go to the bottom of the 9th 7-5.
Up to the point the defense had been stellar for the pack but with 2 outs and one man on the rays got to hits down the left field line and would tie the game at 7-7. Garcia would get final and out and we would go to the bottom half with a chance to win it. Manny Garcia led it off with a single, Catcher/Manager Joshua “Fez” Solis drew a walk and with 2 on and no outs Abel Herrera struck out Looking. Brother Erick Herrera grounded into a fielder choice and Manny was out at 3rd base. With 2 outs and 2 on Miguel Gonzalez hit angrounder to 3B and he bobbled it and Solis hesitated from 2nd to 3rd and then took off, the short stop couldnt get to the bag in time as the third baseman through the ball behind him and Joshua “Fez” Solis would come in to score the winning run with a final score of 8-7. Manny Garcia would get the win and the blown save all in one today. A.Garza would go 4-5 RBIs and the Pack would draw a bunch of walks ajd play some great defense. Worh a 2-0 start and off next weekend for Easter we wish everyone a Happy Easter and a great time with their families.
