Had the pleasure of hosting some great friends from the Texas Panhandle this weekend. Brandon and Kayla also honored me by asking to officiate their wedding in September. What an incredible privilege! We enjoyed a fantastic weekend of fishing, exploring New Orleans, and savoring the best local cuisine. It was an incredible day of stalking redfish on the grass flats, sharing our favorite waterfowl hunting stories, and enjoying great conversation. Tough conditions but my guys kept on casting!
We landed 10 reds and boxed 8 slots for the crew to bring back to Texas despite the 15-20mph winds. Huge shoutout to Coco Marina for their hospitality in hosting us. Special thanks to and for their help with our party of 5. Can’t wait to reunite with this crew again. Quote of the day: ‘They were stacked in there like cordwood.’

Okay so every now and then we test and review products from other manufacturers that we think could really benefit our customers. Well anyone who knows us, knows that know matter how much we like you are your company, we're not going to give it a great review unless it deserves one!
We and some of our pro staffers tried out Lord Of The Bugs
insect repellent manufactured by Nadine Frye owner of Skin Deep Body Essentials, LLC. It's a chemical free product. Does not feel oily on your skin. Smells good. Most of all! It works! It was tested for both early morning and late evening fishing trips. There were no bother from mosquitos or gnats. We will continue to test in different areas and times of the year. So far we really loving this product!!!
