Hey guys .
A lot of people have been asking about the 2023-24 season.
We have decided to step away from the tournament series and let someone else step in and start a new series . We feel like we have done the best we could for the last 12-15 years in providing this opportunity for the fishing community .
However it’s time for someone else to take the helm .
ODCC will continue as an open catfish club and community to post and share pics and different events concerning fish related events .
We plan to continue our joint event with Fallen Outdoors as long as it will support itself and the Captains continue to volunteer their services.
Bruce Connor and my self James Keatts will offer our services to run scales when we are available for different fishing events as they become available .
We will only run the scales and not assist an any other business concerning an event .
We have been doing this for a long time and it’s just time for a change .
We appreciate all the friends we have met over the years and hope to continue to grow with new friends in the future .
I recognize Ryan Smiley , Bruce Connors and myself James Keatts as well as all the past directors that have helped over the many years .
We love the blue catfish and the fishermen that hunt for them and look forward to seeing the sport grow and trophy fish increasing in size with CPR and fish safety the main platform .

Many of us have met this guy David Bidinger participating in the ODCC tournaments . He had the bright yellow Bolt boat and had become a regular on the James River . Keep his family in your prayers as they go through this process .
We all have an expiration date so be prepared when your time comes .
Congratulations to Kenneth Bennett for winning the ODCC Angler of the Year for 2022-2023

I made an error when I posted last months ODCC Angler of the Year standings. Inadvertently, I labeled those standings as “final”. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused.
