To our clients with AT&T service, for some reason our clients with AT&T phone service are getting a message "Your call cannot be completed at this time". We are aware and have contacted our provider. This seems to only affect AT&T customers, so please, if you get this message, contact your provider and let them know.

Please plan at least a week in advance for regular check up appointments. Please call and leave a message for any medications you may need. Refilling medications may take a up to a day depending on when you call, call early morning if you need them that day. Hi-volume calls can be expected but we will call you back!

Oh, hello. I am Frank. I'm an older fellow that is in need of a home. I guess I had a home at some point, but somewhere along the way I got lost and confused. Anyway a kind stranger brought me to the shelter so I could safely wait for my family to claim me. No one ever came and now I am up for adoption. I have all of my vaccinations, I am heartworm negative, I have a microchip, and I have been neutered. You know everyone here has been so nice. They keep encouraging me and saying that I am sooo sweet, they just know I will find a great home soon. But, you know, I am just not so sure. You see I am over ten years old! Most people that come to the shelter want a cute and wiggly puppy. My “cute and wiggly” days a long gone! Do you think there is anyone out there that would want to adopt me?

Dixie Girl Dog Rescue

Mercy has a hospice placement! One of our very own leadership team members is going to take Mercy home, spoil her rotten, and love on her.

Several of you asked about donating items to keep Mercy comfy-- any donations can be dropped off at Caldwell Mill Animal Hospital or with our friends at Cahaba Beach Dog Park. We promise they will go to Mercy's care and after that, anything left will be used to help other pups in needs.

Thank you all for sharing and finding potential owners! After reaching out to the owners of the missing labs, neither thinks she is a match. So now our goal is to show Mercy as much love as possible in the time she has left.

Is anyone interested in having Mercy sleepover for a few nights? Mercy is 50ish lbs and can't walk on her own so her foster will need to be able to accommodate for that. Please let us know if you're interested.

She is a very sick senior. She can't use her back legs, has a large wound in her mouth (but she is eating), and her liver is covered in cancerous masses. We are doing *everything* possible to keep her comfortable and to buy time in case we can find her owners but she does not have long. We have received a few amazing offers from people willing to open their homes to her for a few days so she can enjoy some serious TLC.

We promise to keep you posted and again, sincerely, thank you for all your support and love for this pup.

Does anyone know this pup or know someone whose pup went missing recently? Female Black Lab, 15 ish years old found after having been stuck in the mud of a pond for about 4 days in Clanton, AL. 😥 I know, our hearts break for this baby too.

The finder reached out to us and agreed to rush this baby to our vet. She's currently resting at Caldwell Mill Animal but has a poor prognosis. We're trying to locate her owners so they can see her. Please share this post so we can reunite them before it's too late.
