Anne thought she would hide from us. She was not sure how we found her.

☔️⛈ good morning!
We are pow wowing how to find these two adult cats that have been at MCC for at least 6 weeks a new home. They need to be around people to help bring them out of their shells.
Do you know of anyone who could foster and love on them a while? These are the two cats whose owner died and the son is looking to rehome them.
They are sweet cats but very shy. We had a couple come meet them, all excited to be ready to adopt, but both cats just stayed hidden.
We are sure the son would help with some of the financial costs.
Please call (205)985-2023 for more information.
Thank you
Really this is what the clinic is celebrating
Don't forget that Saint Patrick is not the only saint whose feast day is March 17. It is also the feast of Saint Gertrude of Nivelles, the patron saint of cats and the people who love them. (Meme art from an original work by Carolee Clark, King of Mice Studios)
I may not be Irish but I still want a Kiss. Happy St. Patrick's Day form Franklin and the staff at Metro Cat Clinic.

There are some creatures in life that touch the hearts of many. One of the outdoor cats, known by many names but by us as Twinkle Toes, was one of them. She was so sweet and friendly yet chose to keep to her outdoor lifestyle. We had to say goodbye to her today. We suspect she licked up some antifreeze which destroyed her kidneys. Many from the staff at MCC and Ragtime Cafe came to say goodbye. Rest well, Miss Twink, you were well beloved by many.
“A happy arrangement: many people prefer cats to other people, and many cats prefer people to other cats.” Franklin showing his love for Julie, our Rainbow Bridge Conductor.

World Spay Day - Lets help control the pet population.
Big Boy(cat with green toy) and Pretty Girl(cat with blue toy) are in need of a new home! Their person had just moved to Birmingham to be close to family, but became ill, was hospitalized for over a month, and sadly passed away without seeing them again. They are 5 year old tabby siblings from the same litter and are in good health. They are up to date on all their vaccinations and just had a Vet Wellness visit in January. The owner’s son is looking for a home for both, but is willing to separate them if necessary. Both kitties are a bit shy but love to be petted and are “lap” kitties (they also love catnip toys!). These two sweet babies have had their world turned upside down and desperately need love and affection. Their best home would be quiet, loving and consistent without other pets or young children.

Franklin the Safety Cat warning to keep your cat safe this Holiday season.
1. Poisonous plants -Mistletoe, amaryllis lilies, and paper whites are poisonous to your cat. Poinsettias will give your cat an upset stomach. If you choose to have any of these plants in your home during the holidays, ensure they are kept out of reach of your cat.
2. Candles - Make sure your feline friend cannot knock them over.
3.Tinsel & Ribbon - These can cause intestinal problems if your cat eats them as they will not pass through the digestive system.
4. Christmas Tree Water - Christmas trees has chemicals to keep them green and these can dissolve in the water for your tree that will make kitty sick.
5. Hanging Ornaments - Hanging Ornaments might tempt your cat to bat at it and brake the Ornament. Then your cat may then eat the broken ornament which will not do them any good.
