The Doleys Clinic

The Doleys Clinic

I began seeing Doleys in the early 2000's and at that time they were awesome. Now, not so much. They have changed. They have only one doctor, Dr. Hill. He doesn't have the backbone to do what the patient needs. They are looking for any and every reason to get you off of opiods. They no longer care about the patient. They lied to me at least twice. I was told by one of their doctors that they understood that things happen and sometimes you may use more meds than normal, no big deal just be honest with them. I ran into a situation where my mom was very sick at home on hospice and I stayed with her over two weeks, trying to care for her. She required 24 hr care plus the stress and axiety of knowing what the outcome would be. I needed more than normal medication. They did not care. When COVID came and we were on lock down, the FDA/DEA changed the rules allowing doctors to fax scripts for opiods so people would not have to get out. FYI, I personally called the B'ham field office and cofirmed this. I have lung disease putting me at very high risk. I called requesting no office visit due to COVID and they were unwilling to take advantage of the new regulation which would protect me from COVID. This is the epitomy demonstrating a lack of "care" for the patient. I thought about it and I should have left then. Hope this review helps you!!
I am happy with the Doley's Clinic. They listen to your concerns. They treat you with respect. I am thankful for their program.
Best decision I ever made was to choose Doleys. The journey began with Dr. Doleys and continues with Dr. Hill. Professional, effective and direct pain management working with mind, body and spirit.

I highly recommend Doleys to anyone dealing with chronic pain who understands that relief comes not just in a pill but treatment of the whole person.

Rarely have to wait long. Always a phone call away. Thank you Doleys physicians and staff.
What kind of sedation do they use
I do not follow Doley’s clinic. Not sure how it was put on my timeline that I do, and I can’t get rid of it. Cannot find an “unfollow”.
Is there any way to make an appointment to just speak to one of the specialists before becoming a patient?
Happy Birthday Dr Hill!!
I must say my first visit was a absolute pleasure. Dr. Jimmeh is already going the extra mile to find out why I’m having awful migraines. Dr. Jimmeh your Awesome and I appreciate this so much. I’m glad I chose you for my new Neurologist❤️❤️

Anti-Inflammatory cauliflower rice with avocado. I like this dish because everything but the mushrooms came from the freezer. On medium-high heat, sauté mushrooms, frozen bell peppers, and frozen spinach in avocado oil, add pre packaged cauliflower rice and cover for 3-5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. You could add a serving of protein from meat or tofu. A great way to take in a mountain of nutrition and beneficial fiber. Very filling for very low calories and easy to keep on hand. Differential effects of mindfulness meditation conditions on repetitive negative thinking and subjective time perspective: a randomized active-controlled study - PubMed

At The Doleys Clinic, we encourage an approach that addresses both the mind and the body for good reason. A recent study comparing different meditation techniques found that people who regularly meditate tend to have a higher quality of life with a brighter outlook for the future. This is consistent with a study of 290 participants which found that meditation improved function in patients in as little as 26 weeks. Netflix has recently partnered with Headspace to release a series of meditation videos for beginners. If you find yourself quarantined with a heightened sense of fear for the future, take some time to explore meditation as part of your care plan and wellbeing. Check out our YouTube channel for more information and some guided meditations. You may be surprised at the results of this daily practice.

A Connection Between COVID and Chronic Pain 12/01/2020

A Connection Between COVID and Chronic Pain

It's been a while since we've posted a blog to our website, but we wanted to end the year right. As frontline healthcare providers have gathered data from those infected with COVID-19, bloodwork has revealed some important deficiencies that may be beneficial for protecting ourselves on the inside while we wash hands, cover faces, and socially distance on the outside. Importantly, these deficiencies are also very common in chronic pain patients. Check out the video, read, and share. We think you'll find this information very important as we all go through the holiday season.

A Connection Between COVID and Chronic Pain COVID-19: Are You Protecting Yourself on the Inside as Well? Washing hands, covering faces, and social distancing are all important for preventing the spread of disease from one person to another, but is it enough to only protect ourselves on the outside? As COVID-19 has spread throughout the word,....

Happy Thanksgiving from The Doleys Clinic. We hope you all manage to spend time with loved ones even if things have to be done a bit differently this year. Be safe and be with loved ones. We will re-open on Monday November 30

Power is out at the clinic this morning, but we are open. Because of the power outage, our phones are also off. We will return your call as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Cannab-FS™ 450

We continue to receive questions about CBD/Hemp-based dietary supplements. To help answer some of your more frequently asked questions, Nick Doleys has filmed a video explaining what to look for in a quality product that may provide great benefit. People who have tried the products we promote have reported reduced pain, less anxiety, improved sleep, and a host of other potential benefits. It's important to have all of the information before deciding what, if any, product is right for you. Watch our video on YouTube and while you're there, give us some feedback on what topics you'd like to see! Store | doleysclinic-1

The Doleys Clinic is excited to announce the addition of an online store to our website. Many patients know that we began selling dietary supplements several years ago and were one of the first physician offices to make h**p-based nutritional supplements available. Our online store will be a place for patients and non-patients to find quick access to the dietary supplements we believe in. What do we look for when partnering with a supplement company?

1. Independent third party testing
2. Formulations that are backed by clinical trials on humans, not animals
3. Made in the U.S.A. under strict manufacturing guidelines

When you purchase a product that we support, you can rest assured that what's on the label is what's in the bottle and will always meet the highest standards while adhering to federal and local laws.

But these products don't mean much without the education to know what, why, and how to take them for maximum efficacy so expect more content in the form of videos, articles, and blogs.

We want to give the community of PEOPLE, not just patients, who live with chronic pain the tools to live a high quality of life in spite of pain. So we invite you to leave a message below telling us what questions you have and what content you would like to see, then visit us at

The clinic will be closed Thursday, July 2nd in observance of the Independence Day holiday. On behalf of the staff of The Doleys Clinic, we wish each of you a safe and happy July 4th.

To all of our patients, The Doleys Clinic will operate during normal business hours this week. COVID-19 has created a heightened sense of fear in our state, but I want to reassure our patients that you are our number one priority. We will do everything in our power to stay open for you.

To prevent further spread of germs and infectious diseases, the Clinic is asking the following of all patients:

1) If you are currently sick or showing symptoms such as fever, nausea, coughing, or dry cough, please stay home. All no show fees will be waived as we move through this together.

2) Only patients and necessary care givers should enter the waiting room. Friends, family members, and especially children should not be brought to the clinic for visits. It is important that the number of people in the waiting room be minimized.

3) If possible, please visit our website were you can print out questionnaires and fill them out ahead of time. This will reduce visit time.

We will be updating this page weekly to keep our patients informed.

New 5.0-star Review: "The Doleys Clinic has helped me greatly. I have been a patient here for 12 years and have had great success with their program. It is truly a comprehensive approach from Dr Doleys to physical therapy to Dr Hill and NP Tiffany. They treat the entire patient and do not just throw medicine at your problem. I am grateful for each of them and would reccomend the practice to anyone who lives with chronic pain." 02/03/2020

Expectations predict chronic pain treatment outcomes. - PubMed - NCBI

Communication between patients and healthcare providers is crucial for success no matter how you measure it. Tiffany Dupree is one of our providers at The Doleys Clinic, and below Tiffany shares with us some recommendations for communicating with providers in any office that you may visit. Tiffany highlights the importance of setting expectations but I would like to take that a step further and encourage patients to set POSITIVE expectations. In a very real way, expectations can determine outcomes. Set yourself up for success by creating and communicating positive expectations. For the research to support this notion see this link:

Tiffany Dupree, CRNP writes:
Many times, patients have difficulty communicating their questions and concerns to a healthcare provider. In my discussion with patients and their family members, this difficulty stems from a fear of the healthcare provider’s potential response as well as a fear of feeling uneducated. It is vital for patients to understand why their healthcare provider has made certain decisions and their role in their own healthcare. It is said that unclear expectations are unfair expectations. Below are some recommendations:

• You should ask your healthcare provider what is expected from you while under their care and communicate your expectations to them.

• Do not be afraid to ask a question because you think you should already know the answer. It is better to ask and already know the answer than to not ask and never know the answer.

• As a patient, if you have frustrations with your medial care, let your healthcare provider know your concerns in a calm and respectful way. Patients are always encouraged to schedule time with any member of their care team to ask questions and address concerns.

• If you have trouble remembering your questions between visits, I would encourage you to have a medical journal where you can write them down.

It is important to understand, that as a patient you play an active role in your healthcare. All in all, it is your body and your health. You must take charge and contribute to the solution. The health care provider is only there to be a medical tour guide on the journey we call life. Pain. 2016 Feb;157(2):329-38. doi: 10.1097/j.pain.0000000000000379. Below are the three recipes from last week's DocTalk Live. Please comment with recipes you all would like to see in the future.

Mini Egg Souffles
• 5 whole omega 3 eggs
• ½ cup of white cheddar cheese cut into cubes (any hard
cheese will work)
• ¼ cup of low-fat cottage cheese
• 3 slices of turkey bacon cooked and crumbled
• Any cooked vegetable you would like to add such as
spinach, kale, or caramelized onion (optional)

Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Add a sheet pan with high sides to the oven and fill half way with water (disposable baking sheets work well). As the oven heats, the sheet pan with water will create a wet cooking environment.

Combine the eggs, cheddar, and cottage cheese in a bowl or blender. Season with a quarter teaspoon of salt and black pepper and mix until it becomes a well combined liquid.

Grease a non-stick or silicone muffin tin with avocado oil, coconut oil, or ghee.

Pour an even amount of liquid into each muffin tin and add crumbled turkey bacon to each if desired (or any cooked vegetable you desire).

Carefully place the muffin tin in the water pan and bake the eggs for 35-40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove the water pan and muffin from the oven and allow to cool for 15 minutes. These egg bites can be stored in the refrigerator for three days or placed in Ziplock bags and frozen for one month. Serve with the roasted red pepper sauce below or any low-calorie condiment of your choosing.

Roasted Red Pepper Sauce
• 1 jar of store bought roasted red peppers
• ¼ cup of raw almonds or walnuts
• ¼ cup of Avocado or Macadamia Nut oil
• Juice of one lemon
• 1 garlic clove
• 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley if desired

Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor and season with ¼ teaspoon of salt and black pepper. Blend until well combined into a sauce that can be spread.

This sauce can be served with eggs, chicken, fish, steak or spread on fermented sourdough bread with some mixed greens.

Overnight Oats
• ½ cup of old-fashioned oats
• 1 scoop of protein powder of your choice. I enjoy protein
powders by Beverly International for this recipe
• 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds
• 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond or coconut milk
• 2 teaspoons of low-calorie sweetener of your choice
• ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract
• Dash of cinnamon

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir until well mixed. The mixture should be loose enough to easily fall off of the spoon. If the mixture seems too firm, add more almond milk. Cover the mixture and place in the refrigerator overnight or up to three days.

When ready, there is no need to heat; simply stir and eat. This can topped with fresh fruit, low calorie Cool Whip, or raw nuts for added taste and texture.

As we prepare for another year offering our services to people living with chronic pain, the Doleys Clinic team would like to take a moment to wish Dr. Leanne Cianfrini all the best in her new venture. She has been a caring therapist, a wonderful colleague, and above all else a close friend. While it is sad to see a team member leave, knowing that one of our own will take our shared experiences and use them to make a difference in the world is reason for celebration.

Dr. C- we will miss you, but we look forward to seeing all that you accomplish in the future.

From Dr. Cianfrini -- "Hey y'all! Well, today is my last day at The Doleys Clinic. I have enjoyed running our page, leading the pain classes, and helping patients cope with chronic pain for over 14 years at the clinic. It's time for me to take an adventure and build on the skills I've learned here. I'm off to build a life in Canada to help injured workers in British Columbia. I'll miss my clinic family of coworkers, my mentor in Dr. Doleys, and all of the patients I've personally worked with or said hi to in the waiting room. I wish you all health and happiness!"
