This guy has worked with us at Baba Java for many years now, and is a familiar face in all of our cafes!

His main role right now is driving "Big Baba" around delivering coffee to our wholesale clients, (partnering coffee shops, Piggly Wigglys, etc.) and delivering materials and coffees between our warehouse and cafes!

While his job is more behind the scenes, we didn't want to waste an opportunity to shout him out on socials! We're grateful for all his hard work.

Baba Java is Arabic for "father coffee."

Baba Java was born from the dream of a father-son duo. Our name signifies their relationship, and is a nod towards our commitment to coffee's impact on cultures all over the globe.

We began roasting in 2018, opening our Hoover cafe the following Spring. Today, we have relationships with farmers and roasters all over the world. The coffee you purchase has a direct positive impact on those farmers and their communities!

There's nothing quite like the cafe at sunrise. We love an early morning with a warm cup of drip!

Nick, our head roaster, working away in our Hoover warehouse!

We've always roasted our coffee in-house, but a couple of years ago we transitioned our roasting production from our Hoover cafe to our warehouse to be able to roast larger quantities.

Nicholas captains the ship when it comes to roasting and packaging coffee, and does an incredible job!

All of our coffee is locally roasted in our Hoover warehouse!

The warehouse team spends their days roasting, weighting out the 12oz and 2lb bags, and distributing our coffee to our cafes.

They also fulfill online subscription orders, shipping freshly roasted coffee straight to your door!
