We are Hawaii's largest voluntary engineering organization and are committed to advancing the civil engineering profession. Formed on October 4, 1937, the Hawaii Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers is the local Section of the national ASCE organization, which includes some 130,000 members worldwide. ASCE Hawaii Section will be hosting two screenings of Cities of the Future on February 17th (President’s Day) at Regal Windward (Windward Mall). Cities of the Future is a 45-minute film created by the American Society of Civil Engineers and narrated by John Krasinski. It features five young ASCE members working to solve the world’s most pressing challenges with inspiring solutions. It also follows a team of middle school students as they compete in the Future City Competition (https://futurecity.org).
