He noticed a lot of his friends have been drinking Sancerre lately so this Friday we have a treat… We will be tasting this phenomenal 2019 Sancerre Rouge with Leigh from International Wines. He can’t wait to share this perfect, chillable red with you all!

First we have a Chilean chardonnay from Curicó Valley. This is a natural wine that is refreshing, creamy, and has fruit like acidity.
Next we have a rosé from Agenais, France. This balanced blend of cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon is perfect for porch-sipping on a warm night!

Ercole means Hercules in English and these wines are capable of wonderful feats! The Piedmont Guy is the importer and works with some of their favorite producers to make these wines. The Bianco is mostly Cortese and is light, crisp, and clean. Perfect on a back porch on this beautiful day. The Rosato is made from Barbara with a small amount of skin contact. Dry and crisp it is another great option for the porch or white charcuterie. The Barbara red is a great wine to be chilled down in your fridge for 30 mins and would go great with pizza or pasta. All of these wines are great values at $12.99.

Our February Somm School is sold out! If you didn’t snag a spot for our Valentine’s Day event, we’ll miss you! We are going to go ahead and begin accepting reservations for the March 15th Somm School event. As most seats for the next month’s event do get reserved at the end of each Somm School, please know that you are welcome to go ahead and call the shop to get on our list in advance. (Just please know that your spot is not reserved without payment.)

March’s event is Burgundy themed—-lots of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. It will be located at the wine shop once again with the usual $55 ticket (instead of the $100 ticket for the special occasion Valentine’s Day version of Somm School located at Ash). 6-8 PM on Tuesday, March 15th, 6 featured wines and custom catering by Chef Mark Driskill.

As our Valentine’s Day event is being hosted at Ash, a much larger space compared to the wine bistro area at Classic, we were able to accommodate 40 guests for February. However, when our event returns to the Classic Wine Company venue in March, we can safely accommodate 18 guests. Since there’s a good possibility that March’s Somm School will sell out by the end of the night on February 14th, I just wanted to encourage folks to call the shop in advance if you really want to get your best chance at snagging a reservation for March! 205-871-9463
