AAAS - Alabama Animal Adoption Society

AAAS is a nonprofit organization who, since 1977, has helped strays and unwanted family pets find loving and responsible homes. We were so impressed with their dedication to educate the public regarding the problem of pet overpopulation and their commitment to spay/neuter through low-cost certificates.

This amazing organization has truly made an impact in our community!

Attention all Jefferson County, AL residents including law enforcement and animal control!!

🛑🛑🛑URGENT POST🛑🛑🛑

Olive Ave, Roebuck neighborhood area, Birmingham, AL 35215 - Jefferson County

The owners of this intact male beagle still haven’t come forward.

It is believed this obviously well groomed, taken care of, well fed and very well socialized dog might belong to someone elderly who doesn’t use social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Nextdoor, Etc) and/or the internet.

The person that found this beagle lost on Olive Ave in the Roebuck neighborhood area on 2/4/21 is refusing to print flyers and distributing them all around the Roebuck Neighborhood, where she herself is a resident.

Please 🙏🏻 I’m begging the public for help to locate this beagle’s family as I believe the person that has him has not done enough to alert the family or let them know where their beagle is currently at.

How would you feel if this was your missing family dog? You would want the person that picked him up to do everything and make every effort possible to give you the opportunity to be reunited, right?

This is an urgent matter, but most of all a matter of morals and ethics, as the person who has this beagle in her house is now planning to keep this dog for herself (this according to her own private message comments).

Thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you for helping those who can’t speak for themselves and the most vulnerable.
Our tuxedo boy cat did not coming home on Thu. Oct. 22. He left our house 9:15AM on Thu. He is outdoor and indoor cat. We live at highland area on Caldwell Ave. S. Zip 35205. Alex has craws and he can jump any fences or high ground and he can also get on the roof and tree. But if he get on the high spot, he will be afraid to get down and he will be hiding until he heard his name "Alex" to be called. He is not microchipped unfortunately and we will do that if we can get him home. Alex is not a big cat, he can fitting in the size of the gutter or the gap between roofs. Again, Alex will be scared and he will be hiding until you call his name "Alex" because that is what we call him home everyday for food.
We lost him before at our closed neighborhood in Mountain Brook but I always find him at our neighbor's' roof or trees. We just moved to this Caldwell ave. S. house last Nov. so this is still a new area for us and our cats.
We are are emotionally and physically exhausted after the last two days of searching for Alex. Highland area is such a spread out neighborhood that is not possible to go to each house to look for our cat. We are asking you help us badly and we will offer $500 to anyone who can bring Alex home. I wished I can go to each neighbor's property to look for him here but I don't think it is ok here, especially the apt buildings around us. So we are asking you to spread the words on social media and search your property back yard, garage, roof, trees, any dumpsters, deep trashcans, storage units and laundry room, any cat or dog doors access to the house or apt. Those big deep uncover pipe holes or street sewerage holes. If you have "Ring" or security camera, please check it and let us know. I truly believe he is still in our area and got locked up unless someone accidently knapped him in the car because Alex likes to jump into anyone's cars or trucks as well. We will be happy to pay $500 to anyone who found him. Thank you! please pm me if you have any information about Alex.
Our Cat Alex is missing since yesterday at Caldwell ave. S. at Highland area. His name tag has our phone number. If you see him, please pm me. Thank you.
This is what happens when you adopt from AAAS - Alabama Animal Adoption Society. You get a round ball of purring love/serotonin booster/anxiety buster who likes to be right up in your face and clean it occasionally. I think Penny likes it here. She’s got a brother and babies that still need to be adopted, y’all!
Two years ago this sweet pumpkin and her three babies and brother were dumped at AAAS - Alabama Animal Adoption Society at night, when no one was there. I don’t remember exact details of the whole thing but believe the kitty who was soon called Penny had gotten one of her babies out of the box somebody had taped them in, and was hiding behind the cement stairs in the back (famous chicken leg pose and all). Thankfully the wonderful people at AAAS got to them in time and put them inside and little teenage mama Penny and her babies and her brother Pete thrived. Pete still needs a home! But this sweet girl found one thanks to matchmaking by Kirsten Borglum. That must’ve been a scary night for Penny and Pete and the babes. She warms our heart every day. Oliver is so glad y’all found her. Thank you Kirsten and the others at AAAS! ☮️💟🐾
Hi,
I'm still looking for female white kitten 8 weeks old with a bit orange or grey touch in Birmingham Hoover Tuscaloosa area
Please share this stolen dog flier with anyone & everyone who's an animal lover, works or volunteers in any animal shelters, rescues, pet-related companies or non-profit corporations. We would greatly appreciate it. All we want our best friend back home.

She was stolen from Porter Ranch CA on February 3, 2016. It's been over 3 years since she was stolen & we still cry for her. We haven't given up on finding her & never will. Whoever took Sunny ripped our hearts out when they took her. It's like trying to breathe without any lungs. Sunny meant the world to us & all we want is Sunny back home.

We been putting up big bright neon colored full size posters all over the San Fernando Valley since she was stolen. We've even done some banners on fences. We've also been posting, emailing, snail mailing, & hand delivering fliers to animal shelters, rescues, non-profit corporations, & pet related companies in Southern California since she was stolen. We've done everything that's been suggested & we've not had even one sighting of a chihuahua mix of her size.

So now we're emailing & posting her flier to animal shelters & rescues all across the United States.

Sunny's a spayed female italian Greyhound/Chihuahua/Shiba Inu Mix dog. She's my teenage son's ESA dog. She’s gold with cream chest, underside, paws & the tip of her tail. She looks like a little fox; she has a large chest like Italian greyhound's, the curly tail that shiba inu's have & the big erect ears like chihuahua's can have. Sunny's shiba inu size; about 14 in. tall & 15 lbs. She had a cherry eye when she was stolen, which is a disorder of the third eyelid which causes the gland to prolapse and protrude from the eye as a red fleshy mass. However, whoever has Sunny could have had the cherry eye removed by now, so she may or may not still have the cherry eye.

Please help us find Sunny & get her back home where she belongs. We will NEVER give up on finding our Sunnygirl.

Thank you,
Miranda

Can I come stay with you for a little while?

We need fosters to be able to help animals in need. It doesn't take as much space as you think, and is so rewarding. Interested? Contact us at [email protected] for more information.
