Dumas, Texas is home great hotels, great restaurants and several huge industries that are the largest in Texas and the USA. These are just some of the amazing things to discover where US 87 and US 287 come together. We spent a few days exploring Dumas which is 45 minutes north of Amarillo and I-40. It's also half way between Dallas and Denver which makes Dumas a popular overnight stop for road trippers traveling between these two popular destinations.

Historic Terrell, Texas is home to the first automobile in Texas, an amazing amount of murals throughout town, great food and a very special, personable small town hospitality we think you will enjoy. Only a half hour from downtown Dallas, yet worlds away from big city stresses.

Awarded Best Equestrian Attraction in The Carolinas for 2024, the Aiken Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame and Museum celebrates the great tradition of racing and Aiken's vital role in it. Forty championship thoroughbreds have trained at the famed Aiken Training Track and each have been immortalized in the Hal of Fame. Featured in the museum are photos, trophies and other memorabilia that highlight the careers of these famous racehorses. Also there are some interactive displays great for families and group tours. Open Tuesday - Friday 2-5 PM, Saturdays 10-5 PM and Sundays 2-5 PM. Closed on Mondays and major holidays.

LIVE IN TERRELL, TEXAS with Brett Allen on Roads To Adventure on US 80 in East Texas about a half hour drive from Dallas to the east. Rosa’s Mexican Cocina next to the QT is probably the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to for flavor and the service is among the best you’ll find anywhere so I had to share this place with you. It’s family owned and operated with love without a doubt! I started out with chips and salsa which the salsa is served warm and it’s incredible. I then had the birria taco plate with the charros beans which both were the best I’ve had anywhere and the rice which I’m not usually a rice fan - this was too good to stop eating and then for dessert it was the churros - 2 of them which are large and generously filled with a caramel type filling which was warm and delicious. Again the best I’ve had. To me Rosa’s knocked it out of the park with everything I had. Her and her family are amazing people and their passion shows✨

We begin our 72 mile road trip series on US 80 in Cochise County in Southeastern Arizona with this first episode at the Mescal Movie Set a couple miles north of I-10 about 25 miles East of Tucson near Benson, AZ. The historic Mescal Movie Set has had over 80 movies filmed here including Tombstone, The Quick and the Dead, Young Riders, Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean. It went bankrupt during Covid and a local ranching family saved it from demolition and now movies are being filmed here, tours given and special events held once again.

Roads To Adventure in Hallettsville, Texas! On US 90A half way between San Antonio and Houston is a town that was founded in 1831 before Texas was even a state! The sense of community is alive and well in this close nit town of less than 3,000 residents. Take a look at what we discover on this journey in Texas.

You'll be amazed at all we discovered in Gonzales such as Gonzales being the birth place of Texas independence starting with the defiant phrase "Come and take it!" Gonzales is home to an amazing amount of historic buildings, several of which are said to be haunted and we show you security camera footage in a theater being renovated and slated to open late 2024 showing orbs.
