Helping hot moms make time for hot meals. 🔥

ever feel like you’re failing at both? you’re not. here’s why. 💛

You love your work. You love your kids. But somehow, it always feels like you’re letting someone down.

No one teaches us how to hold both, so when we struggle, we assume it’s our fault.

One part of you is reaching higher.
The other is holding on tighter.

But here’s the truth:
👉 You don’t have to choose.
👉 You don’t have to prove yourself in both places at all times.
👉 You are already holding both.

It’s okay to feel both. It’s okay to want both. It’s okay to have both.

feeling drained? try this quick reset đź’›

Motherhood + ambition is a lot to juggle—but you don’t have to power through on empty.

Here are 3 simple resets that help you refocus fast:

✅ Shake It Out (Literally) → Stress doesn’t just live in your mind—it gets trapped in your body. Stand up, stretch, shake your hands, or do a quick dance. Movement tells your body it’s safe to release tension.

✅ Take a Sensory Break → When you can’t change your circumstances, change your sensory input. Inhale something calming (lavender, coffee, fresh air). Splash cold water on your face. Hold an ice cube for 10 seconds. Small shifts, big impact.

✅ The One-Thing Rule → When everything feels overwhelming, ask yourself: “What’s one small thing I can do right now to feel better?” Take a sip of water. Step outside. Send a quick “thinking of you” text. Focusing on one thing at a time helps you reset and move forward.

✨ You don’t have to wait for the perfect moment. A quick reset is still self-care.

i’m currently operating with TWO stitched-up thumbs. 👍👍

Yesterday, I was just trying to make a cozy soup for my family. But in my quest to save time, I decided to use a brand-new, $20 viral veggie chopper. And, well… let’s just say it ended with an urgent care visit and some seriously bandaged thumbs.

Moral of the story? Sometimes, trying to do more backfires, and what you really need is a backup plan—especially when it comes to food.

Because fueling yourself isn’t about perfection—it’s about having simple, reliable solutions even when everything falls apart.

what have you been “too busy” for today? 👀

If there’s one thing this week in Los Angeles has taught me, it’s about my non-negotiables and what (material, memories, meals) really matter.

When we say we’re, “too busy” isn’t really about time—it’s about overwhelm, fear of starting, or not knowing where to begin.

This week’s Get Ahead of It dives into why we wear “busy” like a badge of honor—and how it’s holding us back.

Committed to doing what actually works. đź’Ş

This year, I’m not chasing perfection—I’m chasing what works.
✨ Cooking at home: balanced meals that fuel my family and my goals.
✨ Skipping takeout: bye delivery apps, hello saving $$ and eating better.
✨ Staying hydrated: water = energy, focus, and thriving.
✨ Keeping it easy: small, sustainable changes—every day, all year.

Because committing to the right things is what makes life feel steady, simple, and good.

Committing to yourself isn’t selfish. ✨

It’s easy to break promises to yourself—skip the meal prep, miss the workout, or forget the water bottle (again).

But here’s the truth: when you commit to yourself, everything else gets better.
✨ more energy to show up for your family.
✨ more focus to crush it at work.
✨ more time to enjoy the moments that matter.

Small, steady actions lead to big shifts. This year, I’m making a long-term commitment to me. Showing up every single day for one year.

What’s one promise you’ll keep to yourself in 2025? 👇

Make your lunch look as good as your kid’s 👀

I had six ingredients to use up in the fridge, put them together, and they made a combination that has been our absolute staple during busy winter weeks. You know it’s a keeper when you eat some for breakfast straight out of the bowl.

Here’s why it’s great:
✔️ Ready in 5 minutes (because who has more time than that?).
✔️ Tastes a little like dessert but is secretly packed with all the good stuff.
✔️ Portable enough to throw in your bag and take anywhere—because your meals need to go with you.

Okay, I’m off to pack a zillion lunches for the kids and put this in a to-go container for me. I hope it finds its way into your repeatable rotation this week, too.

PS: This all-purpose winter salad is perfect for sticking to your January commitments without feeling like you’re eating the same boring lunch every day.
