Happy 4th Birthday to us! We are celebrating by growing again. Integrated Pathways is looking for a part-time, contract, OT that is passionate about pediatrics, with at least two years experience with kids of all ages.

Happy OT Month! We wanted to take this time to formally introduce the Integrated Pathways team. Integrated Pathways has grown in the past year and we are so excited for what the future holds!

It’s a wrap! Our four-day MNRI Dynamic and Postural class was a HUGE success! We had 20 students from OTs and PTs and parents from FL, GA, TN, and AL come to learn about reflexes, development, and the body-brain connection. A warm hug and thank you to our instructor, Pamela Curlee, for bringing warmth, love, and humor to a neuro-dense course. She was so much fun and had so much wisdom.

Pamela poured so much knowledge into us and worked with us on problem-solving. With this, starting this week, the Integrated Pathways team will modify their techniques for the reflexes (if needed). MNRI strives to adapt and modify the protocols with new research and experience.

It was amazing to feel the reflexes in our bodies and be able to integrate our systems too! I finally integrated my Spinal Perez, Ms. Kaitlyn found her Flying and Landing, and Ms. Becca discovered her Trunk Extension! 😄

I am working to bring the 2-day MNRI Neurotactile course to the clinic in the spring. Please let me know if you are interested in attending while we work out dates. This is a foundational and introductory course.

You can’t fall asleep if you can’t regulate breathing.

If your child or client is having trouble sleeping, work to regulate their breathing with body greeting, embracing squeeze, or pendulum.

Have you been told that your child wiggles too much at school? Have you been told that they get out of their seat when they need to be paying attention? Do they struggle to copy from the board to their paper?

A poorly integrated symmetric tonic neck reflex (STNR) could be the culprit. Making sure your child's STNR is fully integrated into the brain and body is the first step to helping your child in school.

The STNR is first introduced into the body as a birthing reflex that helps the baby come down the birth canal and then is integral for the foundation of crawling.

A poorly integrated STNR hinders the body’s ability to move the head in an up and down motion without the arms and legs being affected. A poorly integrated STNR makes sitting and attending in a classroom hard! It also helps us connect all the pieces of our sensory system; vestibular, auditory, visual, proprioceptive...

The STNR also helps us develop close-up vision with both eyes coming together (looking at a book) and far away vision with both eyes moving apart (looking at the board). It also helps us listen with both ears for a full 'picture' of what we are hearing.

When the STNR is well-integrated using MNRI® theory and protocols (safe, calm and effective exercises), school and learning can be a lot easier!

The first six weeks of my new business have been unique and challenging. But, I forgot one thing, to introduce myself!

My name is Courtney Pittman, and I am located in Chattanooga, TN. I have been a pediatric Occupational Therapist since 2003 and have worked mainly in the outpatient setting for the last 17 years.

I found MNRI® in 2017, and once I took the first class I knew I had found my life’s calling! Dr. Masgutova has given the world a beautiful gift for people of all ages and abilities to realize their true potential through neuro-reflex integration. To date, I am an MNRI® Core In Training and have attended 11 classes. I was just accepted into the Masgutova Graduate School and will start working on my master’s degree in Neurodevelopmental Sciences starting in May!

I started Integrated Pathways on 2/4/2021 to provide MNRI® services to not only the pediatric population but also teens and adults. I love the challenge of owning my own business, helping people, and also allowing a more flexible schedule for my family.

I am married with two kids and two dogs. I love anything Disney, thrifting, and being outside.
