Today, we honor the incredible importance of rural transit and the dedicated individuals who make it possible. JFCAC EZMO Transportation is a volunteer-driver-based program committed to helping rural residents of Jefferson and Franklin Counties access essential services and resources.

The Mercy Mobile Mammogram Van is at Hillsboro office today until 4:00pm. We are located at #2 Merchant Drive, Hillsboro Mo. They are accepting “walk-ins”. Each appointment takes around 20 minutes. 🙂
Eligibility:
*Medical Insurance card and ID
*Must be 40+ and be able to use steps and stand
*Must have been at least one year since your last screening mammogram
*Must have no current breast issues or a history of breast cancer

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible Girl Scouts for their amazing work in our Education Garden! Thanks to you, we now have delightful Scrabble letter garden ID stakes, beautiful decorative stakes, and lovely hummingbird feeders. Our garden is buzzing with life and color, and we couldn't have done it without your creativity and hard work.

Our first Cooking Matters class was a blast - chopping veggies, watching the pot, and of course, tasting our delicious creations!

Meet Tonya R. Thomas! Tonya has worked for the Missouri WIC program for 21 years as a registered nurse and nutritionist for Jefferson Franklin Community Action Corporation. Currently, Tonya provides WIC families with nutrition education and customizes food packages to fit each family’s unique needs.

Thank you, Tonya, for all your hard work and dedication to keeping women and children healthy!

We are celebrating the one year anniversary of the EZMO transportation program! We are excited to see what the next year will bring. Join us for Cooking Matters, in partnership with MU Extension, where we're dedicated to empowering low-income families with the skills and knowledge to make nutritious, budget-friendly meals that even the pickiest eaters will love. From practical cooking tips to smart shopping strategies, we're here to support you every step of the way. Let's break down barriers and make healthy eating a reality for everyone!

Sessions will be in-person at the JFCAC Franklin County office at 125 E Springfield, St. Clair and are open to Franklin and Jefferson County residents 18 years and older.
