I wanted to take a minute to let you know I saw the article; I have penned a response; and if any of you know the author, please extend her my sincere invitation to visit the Birthright office. I would love to give her a tour and spend some time bragging about the many practical ways we work together to make a positive difference in our communities.
If anyone as extra or is able to find some at the store, we have a mom in need. We can’t find it online or in any of the places we’ve looked, so we really need your help for this little one.
When you are out shopping, please consider purchasing powdered baby formula and dropping it off here to our office. Your gift is tax-deductible to the maximum limit of the law, so save your receipts!
In light of the impending ice storm, we are following our school superintendent’s lead! Hillsboro Schools are closing early and we are too. Please be safe (and warm).
If this is you, we can help! Stop by or office, call or text 636-789-1379.
If you can partner with us in meeting this critical need, donate online or deliver diapers to our office. We’re most frequently in need of newborn, size 5 and size 6.

Can you help? We have a family in need of school supplies. The free give-always have already taken place and we’re trying to cover her three older kids.
You may have seen a scathing letter printed in The Leader last week from an individual who blamed “pro-life” people for a whole host of problems in our society. While Birthright is a non-partisan organization (we don’t push an agenda on anyone), I couldn’t help feeling frustrated that the author was misinformed on some of the issues and uninformed about the ways she could contribute to making life better for women and families.

If your income or employment has been impacted by the coronavirus, you may be eligible to receive help through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). A letter from your employer on letterhead will be required providing details of how your employment and wages have been impacted by coronavirus. If you are unable to get a letter, include your employer’s phone number so the agency can verify the impact date, work hours and payrate, if applicable. Follow the link for further instructions on how to apply and where to get an application.
To apply for LIHEAP, download and print a LIHEAP application (https://dss.mo.gov/fsd/energy-assistance/index.htm). Scroll down, the application is located under, “How Do I Apply”.
