Celebrate the 4th with
Fresh Bread from Flourish

Hey there!

The 4th of July is almost here, and whether you're heading to a cookout, hosting brunch, or just enjoying a quiet morning with coffee and carbs, we’ve got something fresh for you.

🌟 NEW ON THE MENU
We're welcoming three brand-new items to the Flourish lineup:

🥪 Multigrain Sourdough Sandwich Bread
Hearty, fluffy, and rich in flavor—this one’s perfect for picnics, toast, or stacking sky-high sandwiches.

🥐 Croissants
Buttery, flaky, and made with real love (and real butter). A French classic, now fresh from our oven to your doorstep.

🌾 Sourdough Rye Bread
A robust loaf made with rye flour for that earthy, slightly tangy flavor. Especially good with sharp cheese, salted butter, or just on its own.

🍔 Soft Sourdough Burger Buns
Fluffy, slightly chewy, and strong enough to hold all your toppings—these are the buns your burgers have been waiting for. A total cookout upgrade.

✨ Want your loaf pre-sliced? We'll slice it for you, no extra charge.

Thanks as always for supporting this small, local dream of mine. Wishing you a joyful 4th of July filled with good food, kind people, and a little time to pause and flourish.

With flour-dusted hands and lots of love,

Julie

What happens when strangers become neighbors—and neighbors become friends? You get The Longest Table—an unforgettable day of food, connection, and conversation right in the heart of High Point. This year, community members from all walks of life came together to share a meal, exchange stories, and imagine what’s possible when we truly see and hear one another. From laughter between bites to powerful conversations about our shared future, every moment reminded us that community begins at the table. A huge thanks to John Conrad for capturing the heart of the day so beautifully on film. We are so grateful to our Presenting Sponsors, the Lenny Peters Foundation and Bethany Medical, for making this special day possible. Your commitment to unity and wellness in High Point is what brought this vision to life. A heartfelt thank-you also goes to our incredible community partners: The Bridge, Resilience High Point, Southwest Renewal Foundation, City of High Point, Stock & Grain, and High Point Discovered—your collaboration, support, and energy helped bring this event together in such a meaningful way.And of course, we couldn’t have done it without our generous food contributors: Bobby Coleman – for donating his delicious eggplant lasagna, Julie Vanderlinden of Flourish Bakery – for the croissants and strawberry shortcake, Meyakka V. Sturdivant, owner of Party Platter Galore – for five large, fresh fruit platters, and Serena Adams, Growing High Point’s Farm Fresh Cooking Coordinator – for the corn salad and hummus wraps made with care. To everyone who joined us with open hearts: thank you. You helped turn one long table into a powerful symbol of belonging, hope, and possibility.Together, we’re building a stronger, more united High Point—one conversation at a time! #TheLongestTable #HighPointNC #CommunityFirst #GrowingTogether #SharedSpaces #FoodIsConnection #StrongerTogether #LennyPetersFoundation #BethanyMedical #CommunityPartners #HighPointUnites 05/22/2025

We’re thrilled to have Flourish Bakery at The Longest Table and even more excited for you to try what they’ve been baking.

“When I saw The Longest Table in the 'What’s Growing' newsletter, I was immediately excited. As a High Point local, I’m always looking for opportunities to connect with new people and small businesses. I reached out to see if we could contribute some baked goods—and we’re so happy to be part of this beautiful event.”
— Julie Vanderlinden, Owner of Flourish Bakery 🍞✨

Flourish Bakery began with a craving for home. After moving from Belgium, Julie Vanderlinden and her husband deeply missed the warm, nostalgic taste of European bread. What started as a way to recreate those familiar flavors in their own kitchen soon turned into a full-blown passion—and eventually, a bakery rooted in love, tradition, and a whole lot of flour. They’re thrilled to be part of this beautiful event and can’t wait to share their favorite bakes with the community! 💛
