World Relief Triad
Our calling at World Relief is to STAND/with the vulnerable
In order to fulfill our mission statement: to empower the local Church to serve the most vulnerable, World Relief Triad strives to provide opportunities for Churches, groups, families, and individuals to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those refugees and victims of human trafficking who are in great need of love and acceptance.

What is in your hand right now?
Throughout Scripture, God asks His people to use ordinary things for the miraculous benefit of the community around them.
🌊 Moses raised his wooden staff—and the Red Sea parted, saving his people from captivity.
🪨 David held five stones and a sling—and God empowered him to slay a giant.
🐟 A young boy gave up his lunch of fish and bread—and Jesus multiplied it to feed a multitude on a grassy hillside.
We have things in our hands, too. Look at what happens when our Triad community puts ordinary tools into action:
🥚 A local family farm provides buckets and buckets of fresh eggs for our clients as their public benefits are cut and grocery costs rise.
📝 A volunteer uses her ESL certification to teach pre-literate community members the basics of reading and writing in English.
🚲 A local man utilizes his access to kids’ bikes to provide a child with a bicycle (and a helmet, because safety first!).
⛪ Several Triad churches generously open their building doors so we can hold meetings and classes.
All of us are holding different things. Most are ordinary—eggs, a bike, building keys.
Some aren't even tangible.
You might hold a camera to photograph a World Relief event.
You might hold a bold spirit and the eloquence to advocate for refugees.
You might hold the financial margin to make a donation to support our work.
You might simply hold free time to offer friendship and welcome to a new neighbor from across the world.
This is the Body of Christ. We all have different strengths, functions, assets, and callings. When we all use what He has gifted us, miracles happen.
People are strengthened.
People are fed.
People are folded into the warmth of meaningful community.
What’s in your hand? We’d love for you to join us in building a community of welcome in the Triad.

Today, in honor of World Refugee Day, clients joined us at our Winston-Salem office and brought an amazing array of dishes from their home cultures. We feasted, we chatted, we played co****le, we stayed cool with popsicles. It is always a pleasure to gather with our clients, and today was no exception.

Every story was unique, but they all shared the same message: resilience and hope.
Earlier this week, our hearts were full as we gathered at Bookmarks to listen to the powerful journeys of our local refugee friends. Hearing their experiences firsthand reminds us why the work we do matters so much.
June is Refugee Awareness Month, and you can make a direct impact for refugees right here in our community. Your generosity allows World Relief Triad to walk alongside these resilient families as they rebuild, recover, and truly thrive.
Will you stand with our new neighbors today? Visit our website at worldrelief.org/triad to donate and support their journeys.

We’d love for you to join us tonight at Bookmarks for a night of storytelling from our clients! 🌟
As we prepared for this event, one of tonight’s speakers, Parwiz, shared a piece of his journey. After circumstances forced him to leave his home country of Afghanistan, he and his family experienced lots of struggle and sleepless nights in the secondary country they fled to while awaiting refugee status. But since arriving in the U.S. two years ago, Parwiz can finally sleep well. He is filled with peace knowing that he, his wife, and his children are now safe and thriving. 🙏
To hear more from Parwiz, as well as from Karungu from Congo, Martha from the Karenni community, and Sarai from Guatemala, come to Bookmarks tonight to listen and honor their journeys!

“When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.”
