Today, I’m proud to officially welcome Benjamin Franklin Conklin IV as Part Owner, President/CMO of Smart Farms NC LLC.

Ben isn’t just stepping into a role—he’s bringing leadership, vision, and real community impact that aligns perfectly with where we’re headed.

For those who don’t know him, Ben is a dedicated family man raising two incredible kids—one boy and one girl—and someone who truly invests in the next generation. As a teacher at West Iredell High School, he’s made a lasting impact through his passion for developing young leaders, including running the Capstone Academy program.

Outside the classroom, he coaches both adults and students in jujutsu—building discipline, confidence, and resilience in everyone he works with.

At Smart Farms NC, we’ve always believed this is bigger than just growing food. We’re building toward the future of agriculture—focused on sustainability, innovation, and long-term impact.

With Ben stepping into this role, we’re not only strengthening our leadership—we’re expanding our vision.

This includes continuing to grow Exotic Greens by Smart Farms, providing high-quality, nutrient-dense greens for specialty markets, while also developing new offerings and products that push the boundaries of what modern agriculture can look like.

As we continue to scale:
