Knowing we had another full day of work, we headed to town to meet with our financial advisor before we got all dirty. By the time we were done we were ready for breakfast. We had big eyes and convinced ourselves we needed a big ole breakfast to prepare for the work ahead so we returned to Yonah Burger? Everybody Does for their great breakfast. Their biscuits are huge and fluffy and tender. I tried the country ham for the first and last time. I had forgotten how salty it can be and was. It's not for me.
We made great progress at the hoarder house with a few set backs. Our first objective was to clear a path from the fire place to the kitchen door. This took a few hours only to realize the door is only 30 inches wide and we could probably never get the couches out we plan to remove this week. In the process we discovered yet another closet turned pantry full of canned good, food, and baking goods from when my Mom was still alive. She died 12 years ago. Some of the things we found in there were older than that. We discovered more in the fire box next to the fireplace. I think she was preparing for Armageddon or something. We know there is more down stairs that we haven't reached yet. It is truly mine blowing.
So since this path won't work, we start clearing a path on the dining room side to the sliding glass door. It went faster than we expected as it was mostly bigger items that we moved elsewhere. I did find where all the broken glassware and dishes went to die. We also discovered the bar really was a bar still full of all kinds of Liquors and cocktail drink mixes. Also a very large piece of furniture that was actually a 1923 Victrola record player with built in shelves to store records, and there are many in there. It will be fun to clean that up and see if it works.
We end the work day by transporting another 440 pounds of trash to the dump bringing our total to over 2,500 pounds.
After cleaning up, we head over to Nacoochee Village Tavern for supper. Our server Nathan was awesome. Always arriving at the table with a smile and when we needed him. The pizza here is so good with a crunchy but dough rich crust that's not too thick. Marshall chased his with a Jekyll Brewing Oktoberfest beer. It was pretty good with medium toasty and biscuity aroma and flavors. It paired well with pizza.
We then decided to drive to Hiawassee, Georgia to check out the A to Z Auction & Outlet to see what goes on there. It was surprisingly interesting. Old movie theatre seats filled a large open room which was filled with patrons. Everything from pots of dried flowers, tables and chairs, old jeans, and tools was being auctioned off. We were thoroughly entertained and now know where we will begin getting rid of stuff. Most folks appeared to make an evening out of it including a meal from the kitchen there.
A big storm moved in for our scary ride home through the hair pin turn filled road back to Helen, Georgia. I hate that drive in the day time. At night and in pouring down rain results in cramped toes hanging on the the floorboards and praying for survival. I think I will do their day time Saturday auction from now on.
Thankfully we made it back home in one piece.

A to Z Auction will be CLOSED Saturday July 23rd and July 30th.
Make plans to be with us on August 6th! We have a dealer from North Carolina coming to sell. He will have a variery of new merchandise! We hope to have pictures closer to the date.
We're sorry for any inconvenience however it's just too hot to be open without our 2nd AC unit working. At the last minute last Saturday the 2nd unit stopped. The unit is so old parts are hard to find!
However, please go by and visit our store Downtown A to Z in Hiawassee. We currently have some good deals, especially on K-Cup coffee and ground coffee.

--Below are the items we have for sale. The price is listed on each item. Some of the items we have a limited quantity of. They will be sold to the first person who comments. If we have multiples then everyone will recieve the item.

We are all upset to say we have to cancel reopening the auction this weekend! With Governor Kemp's decision to go back to 50 or less people complicates having the auction. We are disappointed that we will not be able to see all of our wonderful customers.. however being safe and cautious is what we need to do right now. At this time I'm not sure how long this will last but I promise to update everyone when we know more.

About Us
Welcome to where everything from A to Z is sold! We are a family operated business that sells discounted products to the public. We have 3 different locations in Towns County. Most of you have visited at least 2 of 3 locations. Please know we truly appreciate your business and friendship.
Our auction is located at 863 Shake Rag Road Hiawassee, GA 30546. We are open year around but do close a few weeks thru out the year. Currently we are open every Saturday at 7:00pm. On these nights we sell all new merchandise that varies from food and snacks to households and tools. We never know what we will have to offer. Mondays are our wholesale auctions and we invite all dealers and store owners to come join us at 12:30pm. Tuesday nights at 6:30pm is when anyone can sell their own merchandise for a certain fee.
