Happy 181st Birthday, Florida!

On March 3, 1845, Florida became the 27th state. For nearly two centuries, our state has worked to preserve opportunity, protect freedoms, and strengthen the communities we call home.

With a 93-17 vote, the Florida House approved a measure, backed by Gov. DeSantis, to remove the requirement for drivers to display yellow registration stickers on license plates.

House State Affairs Committee unanimously approved legislation Tuesday that would eliminate the annual requirement to display registration stickers.

“The reality is that the yellow sticker is just a proof of payment,” Fabricio said. “That technology of proof of payment came from a time when nobody could see there would be a supercomputer that the police would have to be able to verify in real time that you’ve paid for your tag registration.”

If teaching is a public trust, accountability shouldn’t be controversial.

Yet some unions oppose a teachers’ oath.

Why? Because public standards threaten insider control.

HB 147 puts students and parents first—not politics.
An oath to professionalism protects kids. Opposing it speaks volumes.

Please post this video with the caption:

Caption: License plate decals are a relic of the past. They are antiquated, inefficient and purely bureaucratic busywork.

Registration can be verified digitally. Keeping decals only serves special interests, and not residents.

Modernize the system— end license plate decals and cut the waste.
