UMCOR Responds Quickly to Hurricane Damage in Haiti - UMCOR
We are fortunate to live in an area that is far enough removed from the effects of Hurricane Matthew this weekend to simply observe some rainfall.
However, an area in the world that has already been hit hard is Haiti. The United Methodist Church has an active presence in Haiti and has already reacted in love to our siblings in the Caribbean.
If you wish to know more about what your church is doing to help right now, check out this article from umcor.org to learn more.
umcor.org UMCOR works with partners to respond to emergency needs of communities hard-hit by Hurricane Matthew in the Caribbean, particularly Haiti.

Parent Communications Survey
Dearest Facebook friends,
If you could spare the time, the following survey is a huge help in learning how to more effectively give you information. Five minutes is all you need for this survey. Thanks so much for your support of the church and this ministry.

Many of these students from Potomac Falls High School are going to share their performance gifts with us tomorrow night at Floris UMC in celebration of Jay Gallagher.
Students are welcome to hang out starting at 6:00 p.m. and performances will start at 7:30 p.m. in the Hangar.
We hope you're able to make it to share in the celebration for this amazing young man.
In case you were wondering, the slogan for Arm & Hammer (like the baking soda) is "The Standard of Purity."
In just ten days, our high school students will explore what that is in their world. Bombarded daily, our teenagers receive mixed signals and sometimes, our sexual ethics become the last thing we want to talk about.
As the church, we must be bold in addressing sensitive things, so we will do just that over the course of one weekend. The conversations that take place are simply meant try and set a standard, a biblically-based one, on how we treat ourselves and how we treat others in such a delicate arena.
Space is limited for this retreat and there is still time to join in on this special conversation.
Holy Thursday is known for a pretty famous meal. We want to celebrate a meal together as Jesus did with his closest friends.
We'll be at the Chick-fil-A on Sunset Hills Road from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. tomorrow. Some sort of closing sentence.....

Spring break starts today! Krew, come hang out at the Franklin Farm Starbucks Sunday night from 6-8!
