As we celebrate the birth of a nation founded on the ideals of liberty and growth, may we also honor the freedom to learn, create, and explore. This year, our students stretched their minds, shared their voices, and grew in ways that remind us what true independence really looks like—the ability to think critically, dream boldly, and read widely.

Today we recognize Juneteenth, a celebration and commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States. Also known as Emancipation Day or Freedom Day, Juneteenth marks a day in 1865 when enslaved Texans learned they would be free, two months after the end of the Civil War and two and a half years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation.

What an incredible year it has been! Today marks the last day of school, and we couldn't be more proud of all the hard work, achievements, and growth our students have shown. 🌟 You’ve tackled challenges, learned new things, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

As we wrap up for the summer, our social media will go dark for a bit, but we can’t wait to see all our Rockets back on August 18th for the very first day of school for the 2025-2026 school year! 🎒🚀

Until then, take time to go outside, read a book, enjoy camping, sports, fresh air, and as much screen-free fun as you can! 🌳🌞 You’ve earned it, and we’re already excited for what’s ahead.

🎮 The library shelves are calling, and Mrs. Baucum is on a quest to catch ’em all—but instead of Pokémon, it’s library books! 🕵️‍♀️📦

There are still library books checked out, and she needs your help to complete her Pokédex—err, we mean inventory—of over 15,000 items! Each book has to be scanned, shelved, and checked in before time runs out. 🕰️

Help her complete the set! 🎯 Return your books TODAY so Mrs. Baucum can become the Library League Champion! 💥📘

No need for a Poké Ball—just bring those books back to where they belong! 🏫
