Krav Maga training for children is the perfect activity to not only get kids up and moving and help develop their coordination, but also to create positive social interactions through repetitive movements and actions. First Defense Krav Maga's Youth Program provides challenging exercises joined with lessons in personal safety. In addition to a safe environment, the FD Youth Program provides childr

en with an environment that is both supportive and rewarding, that energizes children and gives them a new outlook towards many areas of their daily lives. Krav Maga training helps children develop the physical and mental abilities to successfully face challenges at home, school, or anywhere...and, coupled with a positive attitude, children will feel empowered to work towards so many more goals in their lives. What is FDKM's Krav Maga Youth Program
Our Krav Maga Youth Program is a unique combination of fun, structure, action, discipline, and executive function skills. This unique multi-disciplined approach allows active children a constructive place for which to apply their energy, while also allowing them to develop the skills they need to succeed. Planting the Seeds of Success
Children learn how to follow set and maintain boundaries, identify potential problems, make effective decisions under stress and be a supportive group member. Action, Fun
Children need to be able to express themselves physically in some way. Through Krav Maga, children are encouraged to do so through physical skills like running, jumping, crawling, etc, as well self-defense and martial art specific skills like grappling, striking and kicking. By varying our classes with a wide variety of games and drills, children are really able to enjoy exercising and learn to develop a healthy lifestyle. Self-Defense Skills
Children are provided with the core competencies of fitness combined with key age-appropriate self-defense and avoidance techniques. This combination allows real learning to take place so that children develop true self-defense skills along with the attitude to use these skills appropriately/responsibly. Discipline & Confidence
It has been consistently shown that regular training in martial arts like Krav Maga help students develop physically, mentally and emotionally. Children, in particular, develop self-efficacy and self-reliance giving them the confidence to avoid peer pressure, to set and work towards goals, and to stand up for themselves and others.

Youth Introduction Course - First Defense Krav Maga

Our Youth Fundamentals Course introduces kids to the practical and effective self-defense techniques of Krav Maga. What else can regular training provide? How about:

Enrollments are now open for kids ages 8-13 for our 4 week fundamentals Course Starting on Jan. 4th. This course is a requirement for enrollment in our regular youth program.
