Congratulations to our dancers on their wonderful holiday performance yesterday at Fairfax Corner! We are so proud of you all!

Herndon High School graduate, Abby Snowden has been a member of the RSD family for 10 years! While at Herndon, Abby was a 4 year member of the Herndon High School Dance Team and was a Co-Captain her senior year. In the fall, she will attend the University of Michigan majoring in math and computer science.

Abby says she will miss the supportive environment of dance classes at Rhythm Street and how it felt like her second family. Her favorite quote is, "Life is a gift," never forget to appreciate the things have and the people surrounding you.

Abby, you have been a gift to our RSD family and we congratulate you as you take on your next adventure!

Senior shout out to Karina Yakubisin, South Lakes High School graduate and winner of 4 Cappy awards this year! In the fall, Karina will attend the University of Virginia, and plans to major in computer science and continue dance any way she can.

Karina joined the RSD family 11 years ago and will miss the wonderful friends, teammates, and teachers she has grown up with. When asked what her favorite quote is, Karina says, “Believe you can and you’re halfway there,” by Teddy Roosevelt.

Keep believing Karina and we can’t wait to see what you achieve!

Senior Salute Shout Out to Rachel Silverman! Rachel is a Herndon High School graduate where she served as a 4 year member on the Herndon High School Dance Team and was Captain her senior year. She began dancing at the age of 3 and joined the Rhythm Street family when she was 5 years old. In the fall, Rachel will attend Northwestern University and plans to study industrial engineering.

When asked what she will miss the most, Rachel answered, "more than anything, I will miss all of the people that transform Rhythm Street from a dance studio into a second home. The other dancers have become some of my best friends, and the teachers have been such influential figures in my life."

Congratulations to Rachel, and we wish you the best as your journey continues!

Shout out to Rhythm Street graduate, London Tuma! London has been a member of the RSD family for the past 8 years, and says she will mostly miss the loving family that is RSD. In her words, "We are not only teammates, but sisters who never fail to have each other's backs."

London graduated from Herndon High School, where she was a 4 year member of the Herndon High School Dance Team as well as Co-Captain her senior year. She will attend UVA in the fall, majoring in global studies and international affairs, and is a new member of the UVA Dance Team!

When asked about her favorite quote, London says, "Be yourself, everybody else is already taken." Congratulations to London, and keep being yourself and there is no doubt you will go far!

Congrats to the new Miss Teen Onstage Camryn and Miss Senior OnStage Megan! It was so wonderful seeing all our solos and duos perform on the stage again! It was a fabulous day for dancing and Rhythm Street was on fire ❤️

Rapunzel visited us on our last day of camp! What a wonderful week we had with some awesome little dancers! We are so proud of everything they did and learned during our Storybook Adventures Camp!

Another exciting surprise yesterday during camp yesterday! Our dancers loved their special visit from Princess Jasmine!

Aurora took us through a beautiful Sleeping Beauty ballet this week at Storybook Adventure Camp!

What a wonderful week we had with Storybook Adventures Dance Camp! Our campers did a wonderful job performing the mermaid dance they learned for their parents. We are so proud!

Lauren Ibarguen began her dancing career at the age of 4 and became a member of the Rhythm Street family when she was 9 years old. Lauren was a member of our production group and lyrical and jazz became her favorite styles. She graduates from Langley High School and will attend Virginia Tech in the fall. Lauren plans to study animal science and hopes to continue dancing throughout college. She considers all of Rhythm Street a forever family to her and will miss everyone considerably, so expect many visits. Lauren's favorite quote to live by is, "If life were predictable it would cease to be life, and be without flavor." We are so proud of you Lauren, and can't wait to see where your next journey takes you! Congratulations!

Lindsay Togher, our Marshall High School graduate, will be attending
the University of Virginia in the fall. Her plans are to study commerce and hopes to continue dancing as a member of their dance
company. Lindsay joined the Rhythm Street family when she was 10 years
old, became a member of the competition production groups, and lyrical has become her favorite style. The memories she has made are countless
and says she will mostly miss the amazing environment Rhythm Street
provides, along with some of the best people she has ever met. Her favorite quote is, “The job of feets is walking, but their hobby is dancing.” We wish you the best of luck Lindsay and may all your dreams become a reality!

It’s Showcase Week!

We are so excited to see all of our dancers perform. We are so proud of how hard everyone has worked this year ❤️

Herndon High School graduate, Shelby Key has been a member of the Rhythm Street family for the past 8 years. During that time, Shelby became a member of the competition production groups and fell in love with jazz. While attending Herndon High School, Shelby was a four year member of the dance team, and held the captain position her senior year. In the fall, she is excited about attending the University of Virginia. Shelby will miss her dance friends and the end of year get togethers. Her quote she lives by is, " If you can dream it, you can be it." Keep dreaming Shelby, and we can not wait to see what your future holds!

Maddy McFarlin is a South Lakes High School graduate and will be attending Virginia Tech in the fall as an English major. During her four years at South Lakes, Maddy was on the dance team and also served as a captain. She has been a member of the Rhythm Street Dance family since the age of 11 and was a member of the competition team. Maddy's favorite styles of dance are lyrical and pom. When it comes to quotes, Maddy's favorite one to live by is, "Make today better than yesterday." Congratulations Maddy, and best of luck!

Allison Gimbert began her dancing career at Rhythm Street with tap and jazz classes when she was 7 years old. At the age of 9, Allison joined the Petite Production Group and over the years, her favorite styles of dance have become jazz and lyrical. Allison is graduating from South Lakes High School, where she was a four year member of the dance team and served as Captain this past year. In the fall, she will be attending James Madison University and plans to major in Health Sciences on a pre-med track, and hopes to continue to dance. Allison calls Rhythm Street her second home and considers all of her instructors and teammates practically her family. She says she will forever cherish the memories she has made at Rhythm Street and will miss her best friends so much when she leaves. A quote Allison tries to live by is "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...it's learning to dance in the rain." Keep on dancing Allison and best of luck on your future endeavors!
