Hello everyone. I am Dr Nick, and I practice in NY,NJ. I am also a Dental Contractor. I have been building offices for 25 years. Many of my old clients have been calling me on Filtration Devices for their office. Air filtration will be a necessity in the near future. It has also been shown that Corona virus can be spread through your HVAC system.. When searching for filtration systems, you have to ask about the Ultrafine particles.

I am currently installing a Purification System that was originally developed through a government grant focused on Germ warfare. This is the only Hybrid system to effectively deal with three pollutant categories. It has been proven to capture 99.99% of all particles as small as .007 micron in size which is over 40 times smaller than the HEPA filtration standard. Our units are equipped with a gas and odor filter, which eliminate most gases. This patented technology removes 99.99% of harmful viruses, mold, and bacteria passing through our systems leaving nothing but fresh, pure, healthy air. what also make this unit unique , is its electrolysis procedure. As micro organisms come through the unit it passes a wire grid system that gives of 18kv. Through an electrostatic charge it clumps the ultrafine particles into larger particles and allows the HEPA filter to capture them more easily. More importantly, everything that lands on your filter is dead (ash). This technology is currently used in Hospitals, medical clean rooms, government buildings, and military applications.

I am Head of the Dental Division for Healthway. The most popular one for Dental offices is the HW 10600-9 also known as the compact unit. i recommend one for each op and one for the waiting room. I have 5 in my office and have used it as part of my marketing material. I was able to reschedule 100% of my patients and they were pleased that I took these extra steps.
I can also offer this to Residential Customers. Stay Safe and Healthy
Thank You.
Amazing service!
Thanks Dr. Long, Hygienist Yen Ly, and all staff members for your friendly and professional services.
I had a couple complicated teeth/gum problems- often bleeding, sensitive, hard to clean and floss, and have had routine care with a few dentists in the past several years. I had to choose one side to eat/bite and sometimes even floss in the middle of a meal.
I decided to go to NOVA Dental Practice before making any major decisions for my 65 years old teeth. I’m Glad I did.
During my 1st initial visit, I had a cleaning and x-rays thoroughly checked by Yen and a professional evaluation by Dr. Long. Couple days after follow up, now I can eat/bite, my teeth feel very clean, and hope I will not need any surgery at least for a long while.
It made so much of a difference after work was done during my follow up. Dr. Long was able to fix/rework and correct in one visit what has been my major problem for YEARS. And I've never had a dental cleaning that didn't hurt until I met Yen Ly, who gently deep cleaned the affected area.
I have found a new home at NOVA Dental Practice and I know that I am in the best care here.

Proudly providing personalized and comprehensive dental care to our patients and community throughout Northern Virginia.

Thank you Dr. Long Dang Pham for always keeping us up to date.

Dr Soroush Zaghi (ENT) explains (starting at 27:10) the issues with many kids I see in my practices way better than I could, how to avoid ADHD like symptoms in kids, allergies, asthma, etc. Getting better growth and development by looking at breathing, sleeping, and eating.
His mentor was Dr Christian Guilleminault, MD, DM, DBiol, sleep expert at the Stanford University School of Medicine who co-founded the journal Sleep, was the first describe obstructive sleep apnea syndrome and create the sleep study as we know it today, he helped establish the Stanford Sleep Medicine Center, and towards the end of his career, Dr Guilleminault wanted to look at the younger population to identify and prevent these problems, nip these problems in the bud early, Dr Zaghi is doing just that.

Dr. Anna Murphy is always here for you! We just love her❣️

Recently I’ve had some questions on whether or not you should use mouthwash, when to use it, etc. This is what I tell my patients: if your cavity risk is low and you want that minty fresh breath, go ahead and use mouthwash even after you brush your teeth. If you’re cavity prone and your dentist recommended a prescription strength toothpaste, then you shouldn’t rinse with a mouthwash after you brush, hopefully your dentist or dental hygienist told you not to rinse with water either! - you certainly don’t want to rinse all that fluoride off). Now, let’s talk about which mouthwash to use. Surprisingly, most mouthwashes are very acidic. Teeth begin to demineralize at a pH of 5.5. Normal saliva has a pH of around 6.75 and 7.25, you want to maintain that level as much as possible. The pH of Listerine Zero and Listerine Antiseptic is about 4.3-4.2, Tom’s of Maine wicked mouthwash is 3.1 (😳yikes, that’s almost as bad as swishing around with a Diet Coke😬🤦‍♀️). The mouthwashes seen here are ones that I like the most (and this is not a sponsored post). Therabreath -pH is approx. 8.5, OraCare -pH is approx. 7.55, Act Restoring -pH is approx. 6.6, and Biotene -pH is approx. 6.5 #mouthwash #mouthrinse #oralhealth #dentalhealth #healthtipoftheday #dentaltipoftheday

Nice to know! Thanks, Dr. Anna Murphy!!!

The bacteria that cause gum disease and the bacteria that cause cavities can be spread from person to person by kissing, sharing utensils, or even a sip of drink. A kiss can exchange more than 80 million bacteria (of course that includes the good and the the bad bacteria). Kissing someone who has gum disease or decay-causing bacteria can cause an increase in the concentration of the bad bacteria in your mouth and you may start developing dental problems, especially if your immune system is compromised or your oral hygiene is not the greatest. However, don’t panic just yet - gum disease and cavities aren’t just caused by the transmission of bad bacteria — it’s much more multi-factorial than that. You can still protect yourself with good brushing, flossing and regular dental checkups!🤗 #dentaltipoftheday #dentalhealth #healthymouth #healthtipoftheday

Give us a call if you have any questions or concerns.
Dr. Anna Murphy is here for you.

Tonsils have many nooks and crannies, where bacteria, dead cells, mucous and other debris can get trapped. When all that debris hardens, or calcifies, tonsil stones form. People who have post nasal drip or allergies are more prone to the formation of tonsil stones due to the mucus in the back of the throat.

Symptoms of tonsil stones:
▪️halitosis (bad breath)
▪️sore throat
▪️difficulty swallowing
▪️ongoing cough
▪️feeling like something is stuck in the back of your throat

Prevention:
▪️Maintain good oral hygiene
▪️Reduce dairy intake
▪️Use Xylitol containing nasal spray (2-3 times a day) to help eliminate mucus.
▪️gargle with salt water

Treatment:
Tonsil stones usually detach during vigorous gargling. You may also use a cotton swab to gently push them out. #tonsilstones #dentaltipoftheday #healthtipoftheday #dentaleducation #northernvirginia

CAN I REFUSE DENTAL X-RAYS?
The quick answer is: Yes...But why would you want to? Refusing x-rays is like asking your dentist to put on a blindfold during the exam. We see about 1/3 of each tooth and none of your bone during a clinical exam alone. X-rays are very important diagnostic tools. They allow us to see the in-between areas, your bone, roots, underneath existing restorations, and much more.
As a dental patient, you have the right to refuse any treatment, even x-rays. But your dentist cannot provide proper care for you based on an incomplete diagnosis without risking liability for failure to diagnose or treat existing conditions. So while you are free to refuse the x-rays, your dentist is also able to refuse to continue non-life-threatening dental treatment and may even dismiss you from his/her practice. More about x-rays and radiation on the blog. Link in bio. Submit your dental questions in DMs, email, or comments.

April is Oral Cancer Awareness month, and the Oral Cancer Foundation (OCF) has invited us to join them in their national screening campaign to increase awareness.
The victims of oral cancer aren't just smokers and to***co users! Though these habits remain major risk factors, the largest percentage of oral cancer patients are young, healthy, nonsmoking individuals that are connected to the HPV virus. We can't stop the spread of the virus, so the best chance we have for saving lives is through early detection and public awareness.
