Coronavirus has made many feel vulnerable. You are seen and heard.
nbcnews.com Just a few months ago, we were only as old as we felt; now we’re just old.
Along with much of our medical community across the country, National Home Healthcare is committed to racial equality and justice. We do not tolerate racial discrimination in our organization, and we are committed to helping to eliminate racial inequality in healthcare.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.” Yet institutional, systemic racism continues to persist and impact the health of people of color every single day.
It is imperative that we embrace diversity, equality and inclusion, with our patients and with our staff. We are looking at how we can better ensure people of color have access to health resources in our community. We are committed to making sure our small team continues to prioritize diversity and the inclusion and hiring of people of color. We must continue to ensure that all patients receive the highest quality care, regardless of race, background, or income level. We are also taking time to listen and reflect on what more we can do as a company and as individuals in the fight for racial equality and justice.
We hope you will join us in this important work. As healthcare providers, our mission has been made even more clear in these recent months.
