Our final round of the Floris Tree of Excellence recipients were honored at this afternoon’s staff briefing. We celebrated our next round of Tree of Excellence recipients for the month of April at today’s staff briefing! Thank you to Shannon Daly (Reading Specialist), Roshni Shah (Site- Based Substitute), Putul Daftari (1st Grade Teacher), Julissa Mejia (Spanish Teacher), and Aparajita Mehra (Kindergarten Assistant, not pictured) for making Floris a fantastic place to be!

Our SCA collected lots of donations to the LINK food bank! Thanks to all who donated!

🌎Happy Earth Day 🌎 from our fabulous Green Team, who spent time helping out at Frying Pan Farm this morning. They were doing such a great job, even the goats wanted to check them out (swipe to check out their audience)!

Today we celebrated our next round of Tree Excellence recipients: Katie Koerner (Teacher of Multi-Lingual Learners), Heiner Berrick (Spanish Teacher), Hilda Manuella (Front Office), Willa McGrath (Instructional Technology Coach), and Varina Justice (Cafeteria Manager, not pictured). Thanks for helping to make Floris a wonderful community!

This fabulous group of girls has started a philanthropic group called “The Money Jar,” aiming to help raise money for good causes. Today they sold 🍩 to teachers to raise money for St. Jude’s! Donut we’d do without these ethical and global citizens making our community brighter!

At this afternoon’s staff briefing, we presented our next round of Tree of Excellence awards to Rachele Fields (Enhanced Autism Assistant); Jennie Tieff (4th Grade Teacher); Jamie Wildstein (Special Education Teacher); Nahla Ragi (Special Education Teacher); and Sarah Tisinger (6th Grade Teacher). Thanks for making Floris an excellent place to be!

This morning, our 6th graders learned about food insecurity and assembled 200 snack packs to take to a homeless shelter. Thanks to our fabulous counselor, social worker, and parent volunteers for coordinating service learning at Floris!

So much spirit today in our playoff parade!!!

Day number five of indoor recess and Mrs. Cheung’s fourth graders remain sunny ☀️. She has so many creative, collaborative activities for her students, and it results in many smiles 😊😊😊
