St Timothy's Pre-School and St. Timothy's Episcopal Church are jointly hosting a Holiday Bazaar and Yard Sale this weekend, November 6 & 7. Vendors and crafters will be there Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. On Saturday there will be a Children’s workshop, a photo opportunity with Santa, and a HUGE yard sale. We would love to see you there!!

For 42 out of the 47 years our school has been open, you’ve been there, Cheryl Engley! You’ve been an amazing teacher to our students, friend to our parents and sister to all of us teachers. Thank you for always making us laugh and for brightening up this world with your smile. Happy Retirement!! PS - can you sub next week? 😂😂

St. Timothy's Pre-School is hosting its 1st Annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 30th at 2:00. All are welcome! Please read to the bottom for full details.

What is Trunk or Treat?
Adults decorate cars and hand out treats from their trunks. Children dress in their Halloween costumes and go car to car collecting candy.

How do I decorate my trunk?
Decorating your trunk can be easy. It can be as elaborate or as simple as you wish. There are many great ideas like fall harvest, sports, animals, Legos, cartoons, games etc. Not creative? Just pop open your trunk, bring a lawn chair, put out a treat and enjoy all the wonderful costumes. Pinterest has many fun ideas if you need inspiration.

*Please remember this is a family event when planning your theme for your decorations. Try to avoid anything scary for the little ones. We all want to have a fun day together.

Please complete our family registration and return it with a $20 fee no later than Friday, October 22nd. Please make checks payable to St. Timothy’s Pre-school. Cash is also accepted.

Parking lot opens at 1 p.m. for set up and decoration. All participating cars must be in place by 2:00 p.m. Trick or Treating starts at 2:15 p.m.

Dinosaur Camp has begun!!

Transportation Camp has come to an end! Boo!! We had so much fun!!! We built our own cars and then had a parade for our families at the end. Here are some photos from camp. Video from the parade will be sent separately!

Fairy Tales Camp was a huge success!! Monday starts Transportation Camp. Thank you to our amazingly talented and creative teachers for giving the children another fantastic and fun summer!!

Having so much at Fairy Tales Camp this week. We re-enacted The Three Billy Goats Gruff, had water play day in Ariel’s grotto, made Fairy Dough (slime), played with cicadas and went on a scavenger hunt in Neverland. What will next week bring?

The students brought Miss Monica Despins bouquets of flowers today, decorated cars, drew pictures and gave her lots of love and hugs for her retirement. We love you Miss Monica and are so excited to see what you do next! Thank you for your 26 years at the best preschool in Herndon!!! 🌸🎈❤️

Our First Annual Field Day was a huge success!!!

We celebrated Father’s Day a little differently this year due to Covid, but the dads and their dates still had a great time. Here are just a few pictures.

Oh those rascally leprechauns made such a mess at school. At least they felt bad enough and left us gold coins. Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone!!

Extended day made incredible leprechaun traps. Don’t forget to wear green tomorrow so the leprechauns don’t pinch you!!!

Weather Watchers Week!! Great weather led to yoga outdoors, nature walks to search for signs of spring, messy science experiments we could do outside and a chance to paint some leprechaun traps!

Happy Wacky Wednesday!! We love Dr. Seuss Week!! Ooblek fun, Green Eggs & Ham, pin the bow tie on The Cat in the Hat, plus more.

Students thriving at school!

Going on a paw print hunt! The Crayons had so much fun looking for different animal prints in the snow and trying to identify them.

Registration for the fall of 2021 is now open!! Spread the word!! 2 1/2 year olds class, threes and Pre K. Whoo hoo!!!

A special visitor came to pick up some letters and leave a special treat. The children were so excited and even sang him some songs.

Time to send those letters to Santa via our special mailbox. Thank goodness today was such a great day so we could spend some of it outside. Happy Holidays!!

What a great November we had!! Our Annual Thanksgiving program wasn’t quite the same as it usually is, but the students didn’t seem to mind. Songs were still song, costumes were still made and feasts were eaten. No parents could come to watch, so we sent them a video of the event instead.

So excited to have had Colonel Han (one of our student’s fathers) visit the school today for Veterans Day. He showed the kids what it’s like to jump out of an airplane and talked to them about the importance of thanking a veteran or serviceman whenever you see them. Social distancing in place made this day a safe one for all. Happy Veterans Day!!!! 🇺🇸

For the last 28 years, Bob and Pat Martin have provided our school with the most amazing Halloween fun ever!! During a non-Covid year, he sets up our playground like a mini Cox Farm, with large wooden cut outs, jack o’lanterns and scarecrows all of which he and Pat have made. Well even though this year is different, he wouldn’t let us down. He set up upstairs and made it so special for all of us! Thank you Bob and Pat!!!! Classes went up, one at a time and played games. Unfortunately, no parents or siblings could attend in order to keep things safe.

October’s beautiful weather brings us more outside classroom time, fun and learning. Fire Safety Week was so much fun this week and last week we had a blast with apple fun!

What an incredible start to the year! Super heroes wash hands, wear masks and have fun!!!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!Thanks to staff and friends that volunteered to ready St. Timothy’s for the 2020/2021 school year. Can’t wait to open our doors on September 14th to our returning and new families.
