Still collecting business casual attire( women only) for our Dress for Success closet. If you have clothes you can comment below. Thank you in advance for those who have donated clothes so far.

We had a great day yesterday at the Haley M. Smith Park providing much needed items for anyone experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges. We were able provide plenty of essential items to so many and we are extremely happy to be able to do this. All items went to the Embry Rucker Shelter in Reston Virginia.

We are looking forward to this event. We are all about bringing resources to make a difference in the lives of others.

Hello Everyone just a reminder that we are still taking your shoe donation and we only have about two weeks left. We could really use your support of 25 pairs of shoes in one bag. If you can ask your neighbors to join with you to assist our efforts that would be much appreciated
All shoes will be given to Funds2orgs who will in turn give Cohac Rising money according to the weight of the shoes and the total bags collected, our goal is the 100 bags of shoes.
This money will be seed money to help us move closer to getting our 501c3 paperwork submitted so we can inturn start to receive grants. We have a Wellness and Enrichment Program created to assist women that are experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges get to a place of sufficiency, so they will be able to not only obtain housing but maintain housing.
So being able to receive grants would ensure we are able to do just that. Can we count on you to help us by collecting and donating 25 Pairs of shoes? We only have until July 31 to collect these shoes so we really need your help as the time is winding down. Comment below if we can count on you and thank you in advance for all who are able to support our fundraising efforts.

25 bags and counting moving closer to our goal

Hello All just a reminder. We are still collecting shoes . Today we will be at Mini U Storage 13271 Wall Rd Herndon, VA by 6pm. Let us know if we can expect you. We are taking gently worn, or new shoes, men, women and children shoes- flip flops, sandals, heels, boots, sneakers etc. This will continue to help us to reach our goal of 100 bags of shoes which will go towards seed money for our non-profit and one major thing we will be obtaining is our 501c3 status. Cohac Rising is the non-profit and we want to make a difference to last a lifetime in the lives if women experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges So we could use everyone's help to ensure we do just that. No amount of shoes is too small or too large . Any amount will move us closer to our goal. Can we count on you? Thank you in advance for your support.

Getting to Know a little bit more about Cohac Rising

In case anyone needs this.

I am committed to reaching our goal of 100 bags of shoes by July 31, 2022. I truly know that this is not easy but its possible. I just wanted to say thank you again for all of those near and far who have given so far to help us at Cohac Rising move towards reaching our goal. However we still have a ways to go. If you are in the Northern Virginia Area and you have a social group/organization a church or just lots of friends/ family that would love to help us knock out these 100 bags of shoes we would greatly appreciate it. If there are sororities, fraternities in the northern Virginia area that could assist our efforts that would be greatly appreciated. Please reach out to me and let's work together. Cohac Rising is all about helping women in the DMV that are experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges to get to a place of Self Sufficiency so they will eventually live in their foreverhome. We are creating a three phase program to do just that but we have such along ways to go. One important part to ensure that we accomplish the goals we set is to get our 501c3 status which will allow us to start receiving grants. So we really need your help out there to help us with our efforts.
We will be accepting shoes at our storage building on Tuesday at 5, Wednesday 6, Thursday 6, Friday 3 ,Saturday 11 and 6 and Sunday at 6 . Please PM us if you have shoes to donate . The address is Mini U Storage 13721 Wall Rd Herndon, VA 20171
Thank you in advance for your support.

A big thank you goes out to Mr. And Mrs. Beatty, and also to my New York family( I didn't get their pictures) Wanda , Gwen and Omari. Cohac Rising is slowly but surely moving towards our goal of 100 bags of shoes. We are at 16 bags and counting. Its still along ways to our goal but we will continue to persevere and we are sure to reach our goal.

Cohac Rising is still collecting gently used and new shoes for our shoe drive and still need your help. We need 100 bags of shoes so any number of shoes is welcomed and gets us to our goal. If you could help us by asking your neighbors as well to support our efforts that would be greatly appreciated. Once we collect the shoes we will be able to receive money to assist our efforts a little further with our non-profit which will be helping women that are experiencing homelessness and mental health challenges get to a place of Self Sufficiency. We have a curriculum for a 3 phase program but we need funding first and that means getting our 501c3 so we can start receiving grants and move things forward. So can we count on you to support our efforts? Thank you in advance for your support.

We are anticipating great things happening, and with God staying in the forefront of all that we do, we know all will be alright.
