About a month ago we stepped up to help with a hoarding situation with some cats. The owner meant well but got in over their heads quickly. We were able to take 8 because one of our fosters committed to the time it would take to help socialize these poor babies.

We believe they are ready to start moving into their forever homes. Some are still shy but once they get comfortable they are all super sweet. Each one has been spayed/neutered, tested, microchipped and on flea/ tick prevention. They are all good with other cats as they lived in an overcrowded house. If interested in adopting and giving one of these sweet babies the rest of the life they deserve please fill out an adoption application at glrescue.org.
Thank you for sharing our post and spreading the word. You will never regret helping someone in need.
A few weeks ago we welcomed this sweet very pregnant beagle. She took about a week to get all settled into her foster home before she gave birth to 7 tiny beans. In honor of 2-22-22 we are asking for donations in the 2 theme. It can be $2-$12-$22 any amount is appreciated. In the upcoming week we will need puppy pads, formula to transition to mush and purina on puppy food. All donations will help pay for vetting for each puppy and spaying this sweet momma so she doesn’t ever have to be a momma again. If you would like to donate our PayPal is PayPal.me/glrescue. If interested in adopting please follow her journey here on our page as we will give several updates and pictures as they grow. Thank you for sharing our post and spreading the word! It takes a village.
We would like to officially welcome Harper to the Goode life. She arrived at her foster home last week and look at this beautiful girl. She is so happy and loving. You would have no idea she just went through surgery removing her leg. She sadly got her foot caught in a trap and due to the extent of her injuries she had to have her leg amputated. She is learning to get along just fine without it.
Once she was ready to be released from the vet they discovered she was also heartworm positive. So this just meant she needed us even more. Because of that we need you even more. As everyone knows heartworm treatments are expensive. And Goode life runs only off of our adoption fees and donations. If you could donate towards her heartworm treatments we would greatly appreciate it. Every dollar counts and helps us continue to help others like Harper.
Our PayPal is PayPal/me.glrescue
all donations are tax deductible please add her name in the comments and all donations will go directly to her vetting. Also please watch for updates she will be available for adoption in the upcoming weeks. She is truly a great little girl and we don’t want anyone to miss out on the chance to give her the best life. We are accepting applications at this time glrescue.org. She will be fully vetted, microchipped and looking for forever very soon.
One of our amazing fosters took our sweet girl Abbey to her first pet parade. She looked so cute!!

Fostering doesn’t stop you from making plans and having a life. These pups love all the action and being a part of a family while they wait on forever to come along.

If you would like to join our family and become a foster family please go to our website glrescue.org and submit a foster application for consideration. We will match you with a feline or canine that best fits your home and life style. Don’t forget we cover ALL expenses!

You will never regret helping someone in need!

Everyone is always drawn to the smallest cutest kittens. At the end of the day they are all going to turn into cats.
Adopting an adult is sometimes an easier transition into a new home. They already know how to cat, they are less destructive, and are still playful and fun to watch. Here is just a few of our beautiful adults that have been overlooked while everyone was adopting the kittens. If interested in meeting one of these babies please go to glrescue.org and fill out an adoption application. If approved we can set up a personal meet and greet.

At only 8 years old, Abbey was surrendered by her family for being too old. They had neglected her, fed her to obesity she is 50lbs should be between 35-40lbs, left skin issues untreated, then left her to die with strangers. That’s when The Goode Life Rescue found her.

We think Abbey is perfect! After some treatment for her skin and a bath. Daily short walks and weight management food. Abbey is loving life! She loves toys, is good with our cat, learned to play with our dog, loves to go bye-bye, and cannot get enough pets and cuddles. As expected of a mature lady, she is already house trained, sleeps through the night, and doesn’t chew on furniture.

Abbey is ready for a family that will treat her with the love she deserves! She’s ready for applications at glrescue.org. She will also be at the Petsmart in Arnold this Saturday if you’d like to meet her!

We have been very blessed by some very generous young ladies and a young gentleman.

Sunday- a young lady had asked for gift cards for her birthday instead of gifts so she could buy supplies for local animals rescues! She bought us 2 bags of cat food! Thank you so much for thinking of us and sharing your generosity.

Today- a young man and a young lady dropped off 200 blankets and towels they rounded up for the Betty White challenge. They each collected 100 items to donate to our rescue! But they came with more…. They had food, bowls and other items we needed.
Thank you both for such a great idea and making such a huge difference today.
We appreciate you all! Without this amazing village and all these wonderful donations we would not be able to help all those in need!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Photos from The Goode Life Rescue's post 01/17/2022

Thank you to everyone that donated and shared our post! We are overwhelmed with your generosity!
It definitely takes a village, and our village is amazing!

The Betty White Challenge:

2022 is already keeping us moving. So far this year we have gotten a momma dog with her 7 babies living under a trailer being fed bread and cat food when it was available.
Two of our young husky that were adopted a few years ago where returned. No fault of their own family going through a divorce. Sadly one is now heartworm positive bc the adoptive family didn’t keep them on monthly prevention or any vetting at all once they were adopted.
We had a kitty hit by car and had to have his leg amputated.
Another kitty believed to be shot and had to have his leg amputated to save his life.
We helped with a hoarding case last week. One of our fosters took in 6 adults that are very scared and will take lots of time and patients to socialize them. So that not only ties up that foster that’s also individual vetting for each one of them. Along with all the monthly meds, food and litter for longer than normal in a foster home.
Today we took in a pregnant momma and two other kittens that each have eye issues.
This is not even counting the healthy animals that we have already helped this year. Goode life runs on adoption fees. (Most fees don’t cover the cost of vetting for each pet). And then also donations from our amazing supporter.
We are today asking for donations in honor of Betty Whites 100th birthday. She was an amazing lady that loved saving animals. Our PayPal is paypal.me/glrescue any amount is greatly appreciated.
If you would like to sponsor one of these babies vet bill please contact us. We will send you a personal thank you card with the pet you sponsored foot print signature and a picture of them.
Thank you for sharing our post and spreading the word! It takes a village.

Sweet playful 4yr old Kelly is searching for the perfect family to call her own. Or a foster home to crash at until the perfect family comes along. Kelly is a great car rider, she walks well on a leash and will fetch a toy as many times as you will throw it for her. She does get a little protective of her toys with other dogs around so because of this she would like to be an only pet. Kelly does great with older kiddos she gets a little wild when she plays and may accidentally knock a little one over. She knows many commands and scratches on the door in the training area when she has to go potty. We believe she is a lab basset mix as she has short little legs. If you would like to meet Kelly in person please submit an application at glrescue.org. Or you can come to petsmart in Arnold this Saturday 1/15 she will be the one chasing the toys in the training room.

Scribbles is a neutered 2y old domestic short hair. He can be very shy until he gets to know you. It took him about 6 days before he stopped hiding from his foster. He likes to hide and nap behind curtains and under blankets. He loves to be petted and purrs readily. He tolerates being held, but he prefers to just be with you, and close enough for rubs on the sides on his face. He would hiss at his foster mom when he first moved in but it was just a bluff. Foster mom ignored his hissing and began rubbing the side of his face, He couldn’t help but lean into the rubs and purr loudly. After a day or two, he didn’t bother hissing anymore. He will rub up against your legs. He isn’t a lap cat, but he is a companion cat. He is very laid back and calm. He’s happiest when with his person, just not in their arms. He loves the small cat tree he has access to and will snooze in the bottom cubby or nap in the upper bed.
Scribbles is FIV positive and fully vetted.
If you would like a companion like scribbles pls submit an adoption application for consideration at glrescue.org
Thank you for sharing our post and spreading the word. You will never regret helping someone in need.

Meet Kelly this fun loving 4y old mix is looking for a foster or a forever home. Kelly is very loyal and will follow you around all day. She loves to play fetch and will chase a ball as many times as you will throw it. She gets along with other dogs after a slow introduction without toys or food involved. She may honestly do best as the only pet. Kelly needs a fenced in yard even though she walks well on a leash she doesn’t like to potty while on one. She is good with kids and loves to ride in the car and knows a few basic commands.
Kelly is fully vetted, heart worm negative, current on all preventives.
If interested in adding Kelly to your family pls submit an adoption application for consideration. Glrescue.org
