Tom Savini already made the remake / reboot of Night of the Living Dead... George Romero was right there on set, Just like Savini was for Dawn, Day and Land. It is the only feature film Savini has made.

The 2026 Remake, on IMDB is called "Based on the Original Film Night Of The Living Dead" is Directed by Christopher Ray... According to IMDB Ray has 26 directing credits, before the Night remake he made War of the Worlds: Extinction, before that he made Attack of the M**h Gator, Top Gunner: America vs Russia.. Romero and John Russo Made Night, Romero explored his world further in its sequels. Russo look the "Living dead on it's own path.. Savini put his finger prints on Night with the 1990 remake - and Nicotero world built Romero's Day of the Dead with The Walking Dead tv series and all its spinoffs...

Night of the Living Dead is public domain, you can make a night of the living dead... but if you do, please don't sully the name of the OG. and Please Please Please filmmakers - world build.. Night of the Living Dead is about the first night the dead return and start to eat the living.. It lends it self well to unlimited untold stories about where people were when it happened. Romero did a farm house so did Savini.. We don't need to go back to the farmhouse anymore unless Nicotero does (oh wait Walking Dead Season 2)... Night 3d with Sid Haig did it at a funeral home. The point is, Night remakes should be kept on the pedestal it deserves. To Inspire and be a guiding light for filmmakers to make their own path in the dead world -- and Make You OWN Damn Movie.

A Deadly Proposal Wraps Casting and Advances in Pre-Production in North Carolina

Raleigh, North Carolina — January 1, 2026 — Pre-production continues on A Deadly Proposal, a contemporary psychological thriller now registered with the North Carolina Film Office, as the production announces that casting has officially wrapped and the full creative team is in place.

Written by Executive Producer Betty Swem, A Deadly Proposal is a contained, performance-driven thriller examining the consequences of deception, misplaced compassion, and emotional manipulation within a modern marriage.

The film is Produced by Bill DiNicola of ColaNatio Films
It will be Denetra Taylor (Raleigh, NC), who also serves as co-writer. Mintaka Brower is attached as Director of Photography. The production team aslo includes the multi-talented Rome Jeterr as Production Manager, Tamika Melvin as Assistant Director, and Raleigh based filmmaker Anthony Gabrielle as Sound Designer.

Set primarily within a suburban home, A Deadly Proposal follows a married woman whose life is disrupted when her estranged ex-husband reenters her world under the pretense of a terminal illness. What begins as an act of mercy escalates into a dangerous psychological struggle, revealing hidden motives and a far more sinister truth.

The film features a principal cast including:

Principal photography is planned for the Raleigh area in February, with additional announcements forthcoming as the project approaches production.
