Juneteenth

It marks June 19, 1865—the day the last enslaved African Americans in Texas learned they were free. While freedom had been declared years earlier, many remained in bo***ge until that moment. That is why Juneteenth is often called Freedom Day.

Today, we honor the strength, resilience, faith, and perseverance of those who endured slavery and the generations who continued to build, lead, create, and inspire despite tremendous obstacles.

While Juneteenth centers the Black experience, its significance reaches beyond one community. Black history is American history. The struggles, sacrifices, achievements, and contributions of Black Americans have helped shape the nation we know today.

At Divinity Care Home Health, we recognize the importance of honoring those who came before us, preserving their stories, and ensuring their legacy continues through future generations.

Today, we celebrate freedom, remember our history, and honor the enduring spirit of the Black community.

Happy Juneteenth. ā¤ļøšŸ–¤šŸ’š

šŸ’œ June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month šŸ’œ

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other cognitive challenges. What I’ve learned is that dementia is about so much more than memory loss.

It’s about preserving dignity.
It’s about maintaining connection.
It’s about meeting people where they are with patience, compassion, and understanding.

This month, I encourage everyone to take a moment to learn more about Alzheimer’s disease and support the families and caregivers walking this journey every day.

Every person deserves to be seen, heard, valued, and cared for.

Because every memory matters. šŸ’œ

Started my morning with a walk before heading to my client.

I’ve learned that I can’t pour into others if I don’t take a moment to pour into myself first. Sometimes all it takes is fresh air, movement, and a little quiet time with God to reset your mind and prepare for the day ahead.

Grateful for the opportunity to serve, but also grateful for the reminder to take care of me too. šŸ’™

Today’s office was my car.

Building a business from the ground up isn’t always glamorous. As a new entrepreneur, I’m learning roles I’ve never held before while making sure Divinity Care continues to grow the right way.

From licensing and compliance to caregiver support, scheduling, documentation, and client care, there’s always something to do behind the scenes.

Every day I’m building this business, and in many ways, building myself too. šŸ’™

Building a business means learning, growing, and continuously raising the standard.

At Divinity Care, we believe our clients deserve caregivers who are compassionate, knowledgeable, properly trained, and prepared to provide quality support. As we continue to grow, we’re strengthening our onboarding, training, and education requirements to ensure every client receives the level of care they deserve.

For us, care is more than showing up—it’s understanding dementia, Alzheimer’s, disabilities, safety, communication, and how to support families through every stage of the journey.

Growth comes with lessons, and every lesson is an opportunity to become better.

Thank you to the families who trust Divinity Care with their loved ones. We don’t take that responsibility lightly. šŸ’™

At Divinity Care, we believe caregiving is about more than providing a service—it’s about building meaningful relationships. šŸ’™

Recently, one of our client families experienced a change in their care needs and no longer required weekend services. What touched me most was their thoughtfulness throughout the conversation and their commitment to finding a solution that continued to support everyone involved.

Moments like these remind me that the work we do is built on trust, compassion, and mutual respect. We are incredibly grateful for the families who allow us into their homes and trust us to be part of their care journey.

To our clients and their loved ones, thank you for your continued support. Your kindness never goes unnoticed, and it is an honor to serve this community.

With gratitude,
Twynisha Richardson

This means more to me than most people will ever know. šŸ’™

Some of these women have worked beside me in facilities. Some took a chance on my vision when Divinity Care was just an idea, a prayer, and a lot of determination. Some have been here through the uncertainty, the long conversations, the planning, the setbacks, the wins, and the growing pains that come with building something from the ground up.

Caregiving isn’t easy. We pour into others while balancing our own families, responsibilities, personal struggles, and life outside of work. We build relationships with our clients, celebrate their progress, grieve their losses, and continue showing up with compassion every single day.

As Divinity Care continues to grow, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the women who have believed in me, supported this vision, and continue to walk this journey alongside me. Thank you for trusting the process, trusting the mission, and trusting me.

We’re not just building a business—we’re building a community, creating opportunities, and making a difference in the lives of the families we serve.

From the bottom to the top, thank you for being part of this journey. The best is still ahead of us. šŸ’™

A friendly reminder from Divinity Care Home Health šŸ’™

We are not a cleaning service.

While light housekeeping is included as part of supporting our clients, our primary focus is providing compassionate, non-medical care for seniors and adults living with conditions such as:

• Alzheimer’s Disease
• Dementia
• Parkinson’s Disease
• Developmental Disabilities
• Intellectual Disabilities
• Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• Stroke Recovery
• Mobility Limitations
• Chronic Illnesses and Age-Related Conditions

Our services are designed to promote safety, independence, dignity, cognitive engagement, and quality of life while providing families with peace of mind.

As our company continues to grow, so does our commitment to dementia and Alzheimer’s education, advocacy, and family support throughout our community.

This is specialized care with purpose. šŸ’™

A reminder of why I do what I do. šŸ’™

What was supposed to be a one-hour client intake turned into almost 2½ hours of sitting, talking, laughing, sharing stories, and really getting to know a family and their needs.

I was happy my admin was there to experience it firsthand because this work is so much more than schedules, paperwork, and phone calls. It’s about building trust, listening, understanding, and showing families they’re not alone.

By the time we left, it didn’t feel like a meeting. It felt like a genuine connection.

Watching her step into this role and support the vision reminded me that Divinity Care is growing in the right direction. Not just as a business, but as a team that truly cares about the people we serve.

These are the moments that matter most. šŸ’™

The love I’ve received from my clients has been truly overwhelming. šŸ’™

Coming back and being welcomed with kind words, appreciation, referrals, and trust reminds me exactly why I do what I do. Caring for others isn’t just my business it’s my passion and my purpose.

Thank you to every client and family who continues to choose Divinity Care Home Health. Your support means more than you know, and I’m grateful to be part of your journey.

This is more than care. It’s family. šŸ’™āœØ
