Construction Safety Week 2026 concluded today at Eagle Mountain Casino in Porterville, California, where Tutor Perini Building Corp. hosted a Safety Stand-Down focused on reinforcing safe work practices and maintaining a safe, accountable job-site for every trade partner on the project.

Safety Manager Frank Lucero alongside his project team led the stand-down activities and daily safety topic discussions throughout the week, emphasizing the importance of job-site awareness, participation, and shared responsibility across all crews onsite.

In addition to the safety initiatives, vendors joined the event to support the project team, while participants enjoyed raffles, giveaways, and opportunities to engage with fellow team members throughout the week.

Subcontractors were encouraged to actively participate in discussions and submit daily documentation as part of the project-wide effort to keep safety at the forefront of every task. As Safety Week comes to a close, we thank everyone for their commitment to creating and maintaining a strong safety culture.

Big changes are happening at Eagle Mountain Casino as the site continues to evolve! 🏗️

Since our last update, the project has hit several key milestones, with work progressing across multiple areas of the site.

The new 33,000-sf central warehouse is gaining momentum: underground electrical and plumbing installations are underway, perimeter framing is in progress, and roofing activities are ongoing. Scaffolding now surrounds the structure, and upcoming slab-on-grade pours in early April will support continued vertical and interior development.

Meanwhile, the Northwest Parking Lot has seen a major transformation. What started as a cleared, prepped area has now become a completed section that meets the growing needs of the property—a key milestone for the project.

Steady progress continues across the site as we prepare to transition into the next phase, including the hotel and convention center. Our team continues to prioritize schedule, quality, and safety as we move into the next stage of development. We thank the Tule River Indian Tribe for the opportunity to contribute to this exciting expansion.

March 2004 marked a milestone for us: the completion of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Tampa. From the gaming floor to the luxury hotel tower, every detail was crafted with precision and respect for the site’s history in Florida. 🌴🏨

Set on a tight 37-acre site just minutes from downtown Tampa, the project was delivered in two phases while the existing casino remained fully operational 24/7. Culturally significant areas were carefully preserved in coordination with the Seminole Tribe of Florida.

The four-star resort featured 90,000 square feet of gaming space with 1,800 machines, 32 poker tables, and an 800-seat bingo gallery. It also included a 12-story hotel tower with 250 luxury guest rooms. Guests enjoyed multiple restaurants, lounges, nightlife, live entertainment, and a signature retail space. The pool area included cascading fountains, terraced decks, and private cabanas.

With 10,000 square feet of meeting space and rock and roll memorabilia woven throughout, this project delivered more than a destination. It's a strong example of executing complex construction while keeping operations uninterrupted and showing cultural respect through every decision.
