Studio Days. I am working on some wholesale glassware orders for shops in Michigan, Florida and Ohio. Since I have two sides to my art-making (fine art and functional dinnerware) I am usually flipping my attention from creating one-of-a-kind mixed media glass pieces towards fulfilling orders from my loyal wholesale establishments who buy my dinnerware to fill their retail shelves. I love the balance in my art woman sensibilities. Both keep me on my toes!

I totally agree. Artists, musicians, songwriters, all creatives need to lead us, join us in our loud unified voice. Spread the word so we can be heard loud and clear from those with bandwidth on social media.

Thrilled to be one of 150 artworks chosen to be in the upcoming February show in Healdsburg at the Rena Charles Gallery! Here is an example of the pieces that will be featured in the show’s social media and press release. My glass is in the second row in the center… gold leaf bowl with black and white collage. I am so excited!

The non-glamorous part of supplying my hand painted stemware to galleries and shops around the country is the final packing part. It usually takes me at least two hours to individually bubble wrap each piece and then fill up the boxes with packing materials so they don’t break in shipment. I am grateful for these wholesale orders and I am grateful for being able to preprint my shipping labels from home. No long lines at the post office. I just leave the boxes in a designated area and go along my merry way. This morning “my way” consisted of driving down to Sonoma for my six hour shift as Gallery Manager at the Arts Guild of Sonoma. Life is great! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Some of my cool Empty Nest mixed media on glass pieces are available for purchase at the Santa Rosa Arts Center. Hours are from 11-3 on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the SOFA arts district. My handpainted wine and martini glasses, plates and small bowls are there too, because who doesn't need a fancy wine glass? Buy Local. Support your local artists, they need the money!

Honestly, I am a very happy little hermit who loves being at home! Anyone else a huge fan of hanging out in their house? Don’t get me wrong, I love going out but I have created my favourite place and I do like spending time there…

Put your hands in the air if your hobby is staying at home too! 🙌

Well I DO love my hobby of staying at home. But I am a curious hobbyist chasing good dining out experiences, fabulous Sonoma County Wine tastings, participating in my art gallery shows, cooking healthy meals, cultivating friendships, meeting new folks in new environments out of my normal geographical and interest maps and being in Nature. A girl just needs more than one hobby, right?
