Our Story
Hinton Rural Life Center is a retreat and conference center in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of western North Carolina, where guests can come to retreat, reflect, and renew. We provide day meeting spaces, as well as overnight accommodations, for groups of up to 200. We also have lodging for individuals and families.
Hinton is a United Methodist agency, and we welcome all — all individuals, all faith traditions, and non-faith-based groups seeking to meet, retreat, and/or serve in a spirit of acceptance and mutual respect.
Many of our guests come to make a difference in this rural community by participating in mission outreach, making homes warmer, drier, and safer for our neighbors in need, through our Safe & Healthy Home Repair Ministry and our Firewood Ministry. Lodging guests also “pay it forward,” as revenue is used to support our community outreach initiatives.
Come experience Hinton Rural Life Center hospitality, for personal renewal time and/or by participating in our outreach support — through your stay or service. We invite you to become part of the Hinton community and hope you’ll tell others about us!
