Haverford Township is fortunate to have such active, committed volunteers, as demonstrated by all of you. Our Parks and Recreation programs could not thrive without this spirit of service, and there are always opportunities where an extra set of hands makes a big difference.

In that spirit, we launched our Adopt-a-Park or Trail program, giving local volunteers (businesses and individuals) the chance to partner with our staff to help care for, maintain, and monitor our parks and trails.

Today, I want to give a special shoutout to - Nolan Painting, Moms Organic Market, Darby Creek Valley Association (DCVA), Runstrong, Alan Rushforth, and Bill Mingey - for adopting a trail! Your commitment helps keep our trails beautiful, accessible, and welcoming for everyone. Thank you for your dedication and energy - it truly makes a difference.

Last night, runstrong was honored by the Haverford Township Board of Commissioners with a Proclamation for our work on the runstrong SouthBrook Trail. Very nice of the Township to recognize our efforts. Can’t wait to get back out there and work on the trail again in the spring!

This morning, the YMCA Gobble Wobble 5K took place. runstrong was well-represented with 14 runners and 11 volunteers who supported this fantastic local race!! Happy Thanksgiving! Here are a few photos!

I'm JoAnn Meyer, owner of - a local running group. We love running the streets of Havertown and following up our Saturday runs with a delicious cup of House Cup Coffee. Come run with us! Meet a great group of women with the common goal of improved fitness and overall health.

runstrong showed up strong on the opposite side of the water table today as we handing out water and Nuun to the Philadelphia Marathon runners. It was an awesome morning, and we absolutely loved being on the other side of the race experience!

Amazing day at the DeweyDecimal 5k! runstrong team showed up in full force to support the Haverford Library and each other! My heart is full! ❤️❤️
