Love is the Movement
Reflection for the Day
Good Morning 😊😊
Giving love is a fulfillment in itself. It must not matter whether love is returned or not. If I give love only to get a response on my terms, my love is canceled out by my motives. If I have the capacity to give love, then any return I get for it is a special bonus. It is through giving love, freely and without expectation of return, that we find ourselves and build ourselves spiritually. Have I begun to believe, in the words of Goethe, that “Love does not dominate, it cultivates”?
Today I Pray
May I, the inveterate people-pleaser and approval-seeker, know that only real love does not ask for love back. May my Higher Power be patient as I try to practice this principle. May Ihi rid myself of pride that throws itself in the way of love. May I discard my silly cat-and-mouse games that have no place in real love.
Today I Will Remember
I will not give love to get love.🙏🙏

Nobody talks about
the in-between.
The place after
you've let go of what was…
but before
what's next has arrived.
The waiting room.
No clear direction.
No open door.
Just… in between.
And it's uncomfortable
because we're wired for movement.
For progress.
For answers.
But God is not uncomfortable
with your in-between.
He lives there with you.
Because the waiting room
is not wasted time.
It's where He does
some of His deepest work.
It's where anxiety
gets replaced with trust.
Where striving
gets replaced with surrender.
Where your identity
gets untangled
from your outcomes.
The in-between
is where you find out
who you are
when you have nothing to prove
and nowhere to be.
And that person…
is who God is preparing
for what comes next.
Don't rush out of the room.
Don't force the door.
Don't manufacture the next thing
out of fear of the quiet.
What God has for you
is worth the wait.
And He will move
when it's time.
Not a moment late.
Not a moment early.
Right on time.
"But those who wait on the Lord
shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up with wings like eagles."
— Isaiah 40:31

December 25 Christmas Day
12/18/2025
On the fifth day of Christmas, we celebrate one of God's greatest gifts: community.
Recovery was never meant to be walked in isolation. We heal in safe spaces with safe people who love us, pray with us, and reminding us we are not alone.
If your part of this journey, thank God today for the people who walk beside you.

WHAT DOES HOPE LOOK LIKE WHEN I DON’T FEEL IT?
Hope in grief is not usually a loud, triumphant feeling.
More often, it is a small, stubborn choice. It is the decision to believe that God is still present, still good, and still working, even when emotions have gone completely offline.
Many who navigate grief through the holidays describe an odd mix of sorrow and sacredness, where tears and gratitude share the same space.
Hope can be as simple as getting out of bed and whispering, “Jesus, stay close today.”
It might look like holding onto promises such as “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted” and “The God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him.”
It can feel fragile and incomplete—and yet, fragile hope held in God’s hands is stronger than despair held alone.
There is also a practical side: the holidays can worsen mood for many people, especially when loneliness and loss are involved.
Paying attention to that reality is not a lack of faith; it is wisdom. It is okay to say, “This season is hard for me,” and to seek help, community, or counseling as needed.
Hope does not mean pretending; it means bringing the truth into the light with Jesus beside you.
