First established on June 5, 1972, by the United Nations General Assembly, World Environment Day is celebrated each year to raise awareness and inspire action for our planet. Every year, the host country and theme change, and this year Azerbaijan will host with a focus on climate change.

Climate change remains one of the greatest challenges of our time, affecting ecosystems, communities, and future generations worldwide. Today is a reminder that collective action, big or small, can help build a more sustainable future 🌿🌸♻️

New Bill Alert! 🚨 SB 340 has been signed into law, making home listings more accessible and transparent for everyone 🏠

Yesterday, the governor signed SB 5 An Act Concerning Online Safety into law. I’m grateful to everyone who helped make this important legislation possible, especially Representative Lemar, Sen. Maroney, and members of the General Law committee.

As technology continues to evolve, we have a responsibility to ensure that innovation is matched with strong protections for children, families, and consumers. SB 5 takes meaningful steps to promote a safer online environment while helping Connecticut stay at the forefront of responsible technology policy.

Today, the State Bond Commission will approve more than $9 million for transformative projects in East Hartford and Manchester.
