The housing desks at University of South Alabama used to close at 5pm. After that, students were on their own. No gear. No easy way for residents to just... do something.

Four RecRe boxes later, the residence halls look different after hours. Area Coordinator Isaac Collier watched it happen: 'Whether it is a couple of friends wanting to play ping pong or a larger group renting Spikeball for tailgates, RecRe has allowed our residents to further their college experience.'

Here's the thing about community in residence halls: it doesn't happen on a schedule. It happens organically, when gear is available, and the conditions are right for something spontaneous.

South Alabama didn't add more programs. They removed the barrier to the moments that were already waiting to happen.

Summer is here, but fall is just a few months away at Georgia Tech.

The outdoor RecRe boxes at GT are about to get busy! Late night access, open courts, and gear that is right there when students want it.

We cant wait for fall!

More RecRe. More access. More ways to play unlocked!

Earlier this week we launched several new RecRe boxes across campus at UNC Charlotte bringing more access to the Niners of the gear, games, and experiences they love. We can’t wait to see these new corners of campus come to life!

We love that RecRe can encourage and enable students to have more "two-player" experiences.

Across the country, we have found that students are spending more time alone on their phones or on their computers. A big reason campuses get RecRe boxes and spread them across campus is to encourage more student connection among their peers. Campuses try to encourage more activities and play by leveraging the inventory they stock inside our RecRe boxes.

Nothing's a better showcase of a "two player activity" than a game of chess!

What a cool showcase leveraging our RecRe boxes at Gonzaga University.

Here is the part staff tend to love.

RecRe tracks every checkout and return on its own.

No clipboard. No chasing down missing gear.

Students use a verified account, the system handles accountability, and your team gets their time back. More gear in use, and fewer headaches.

The Student Org Hub at Georgia Tech just got an upgrade with this new 312 Credenza! With various board games and supplies stocked, student organizations now have even more opportunity to engage and connect.

This exciting new addition joins two other RecRe boxes at the John Lewis Student Center - all aimed at providing students with the gear they want and need, when they need it!

Look at all of this!

Wheaton College students can rent everything you see here through RecRe. Board games, sports gear, and the stuff that turns a random afternoon into a good one.

All of it sitting right where students already hang out.

Grab. Go. Done.

No desk. No staff. No waiting.

Just a student who stopped, scanned, and picked up exactly what they needed.

This is the version of campus life we're trying to make more common.
