Glazing =: Rim dipped in MC6G Licorice Whole mug dipped in Continental Clay’s Lichen Green...then rim quickly dipped 1/2 way down the black in a homemade cream glaze.

First try at mining clay from the back yard ~!! My husband did the hard work of digging the dirt... filtering out the clay and making it smooth... and I got to do the fun part... throwing the vase!!! Can’t wait to fire it!!!

Fermentation Crock with Lid ....DONE.......I have a feeling this is gonna take a LONG time to dry HA~!! This was a combination of several methods, wheel throwing, hand building, and coil building....I read that a heavy fermentation crock was best as it kept the internal temperature more consistent...this guy is HEAVY...so Hopefully it will make some nice pickles & sauerkraut~!!!

Another mug from last night's Glaze Fire~! This one is all homemade Cone 6 Glazes.... Glossy Black with a dip in "Cream Breaking Rust" a recipe I found on John Post's website~!!...I Love the mottled leopard look of it~!!

Plate Update~!! These are the first two made with the wooden forms my husband made for me. Another set (4 of each size) is being glazed today. For these two, I went with a neutral Potter's Choice glaze "Oatmeal" just to see how it would break over the lace texture.....I'm happy ~!!

Just out of the kiln!! Very cool glaze!! Studio Clay Mix with a few additives... Glazed with a homemade Albany Slip glaze underneath and the rim was dipped in a glossy black with bands of Potters Choice Albany Slip Brown... ❤️it!
