WOW!! Look what Ms. Olsen Harmon sent me tonight. I miss you all so much!!! It was great to see some of you last week when I was able to visit you in first grade.

Thinking of Danny and his family today as my beautiful flower they gave me is blooming!! Thanks for all the memories. Missing my class!!! Hope you are having a GREAT summer :)


Last day as a kindergartener!!! All of you have grown and learned so much this year. Thank you for a wonderful year. I will miss all of you - good luck in first grade. You will be amazing.


Christina came on the second to the last day of school. She had a new program for animal hearing she waned to try. What a lot of fun and we even got to squirt our friends. Thanks for a great year Christina.


Congratulations to Kreed and Dalton for being the Cyclone Way winners for May!! Way to go.

[05/23/16]   Library books and ziplock bag books are due today. Please return them as soon as possible so we can get them checked in.

Also, if you want your number in our phone book to contact parents over the summer PLEASE have them here by Wednesday so I can get them copied.

Our first "Senior Cyclone Walk." The kids loved the high fives. Thanks for letting us be apart of your last day as a Cyclone. Congratulations!!


We are working very hard on finishing up our research projects.we will be presenting out learning to a couple other classes next week.


Thank you to Mrs. Renkley's 5th graders who came and acted out a play. The play was about differences and how we should be kind to everyone.


Some fun STEM cup building for a Tuesday afternoon. They were devastated when it crashed :(


After the play we went to Arrowhead park in Neola for lunch and some playground time. It was a warm day but we had a great time. Thank you to Aubrey's mom for helping out. I'm sure they were tired when they got home on Friday :)


On Friday we went to the Rose Theater to see the play Elephant and Piggie. What a great play and fun time on the bus! Thank you to the PTO for making this possible. What a great experience for kids!

CONGRATULATIONS to our April Cyclone Way winners -- Grant and Sadie. Great job showing respect, integrity, excellence and empowerment. Keep up the good work.


Also on Thursday, 2 friends from Mrs. Plowman's first grade class came to read us stories they created. While they we here, we asked they what they liked best about first grade!! Thanks Kobe and Lucas.


On Thursday, 3 girls from the FFA group at the high school came and gave a presentation on plants and what they need to survive. We also got to plant a marigold. Thank you Ms. McCall and the FFA group.

A BIG thank you goes out to Dan and Natalie and Crees for the tour and tomato or marigold plants. We enjoyed our afternoon on Friday!!


Here is a little sneak peek at the program for tomorrow night!! The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April; 26th in the high school auditorium. I will be in the west hallway beginning at 6:35 - there will be a sign with my name on it. If you come before that, please keep your children with you until I get there. After the concert, please pick your child up in the same classroom. They did a great job practicing today :)

Your child should wear nice clothes (boys -nice pants, shirt; girls - dresses, blouses, etc). No jeans please!

Wednesday we were directly comparing two objects with a measurable attribute such as weight.


On Friday, Christina was here to talk about baby animals. We learned the babies name for more than 20 animals and we got to practice "smelling" to find our baby (partner).


Thursday we started our "walking water" experiment - first picture. Check out the color mixing in the second picture. Fun to watch!! 04/14/2016

Building a legacy for Emmalee Jacobs

Just wanted to say how proud I am of my daughter. She turned a terrible situation into a legacy in memory of her best friend. Gone, but not forgotten; an on-campus group aims to sculpt a lasting legacy for a fallen student in the form of a memorial scholarship. 04/13/2016
