Area Christian families working together to provide homeschooling support and classes for students taught by co-op parents. We are a Christ-centered homeschooling co-op serving the southwest Iowa region.
We meet in Harlan Iowa twice a month during the school year. We offer classes for pre-K through middle school as well as free nursery care. We are expanding and now offering high school classes for credit. There is a small per student fee due each semester. Fees may change based on class offerings.

Our Annual Omaha Henry Dorley Zoo field trip was a great deal of fun. Educational too even over the summer yes. Lots of sunshine 🌞 and smiles had by all.

Just wanted to share with everyone the Parent meeting for Harlan School district will be held August 14th at 7 pm in the Harlan HS caffetaria. Elaine Baughman will be available at 6:30 to answer individual families questions. Feel free to let me know if you have questions.
Zoo field trip was great!
That's our Awesome group. This day was fun for these kiddos. Thanks to Melanie Bruck.
Melanie Bruck, Shelby County’s AITC coordinator, recently visited Harlan’s Homeschool Co-op group where she presented on chicks and chickens. The students learned how chicks develop and how to care for chickens. They also got to touch and hold 3-5-week-old baby chicks.
Some of our Spring Semester classes in action. These families work hard and play hard. We are growing, learning and building relationships every month. If you know family who may desire more information please direct them to this page where they can send us a message and we can get information to them about the local homeschool community around them.
We have officially started a social day where kids and parents can play and visit each month. This will also be the day we plan feuldtrips and such as well.
Plan The 2nd Thursday of each month to come play and enjoy your friends. We will hold this in various locations so please inquire before the date to learn where the month event is being held. Look forward to seeing more of you in a relaxed environment.
We had so much fun at our homeschooling Co op Valentine's Party today. Lots of yummy food and loads of candy was shared. If you wanna know what else we do come see us. 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month thru May. First Baptist Church Harlan Iowa.

[12/13/17] Hello Holiday Party goers with FISH Homeschool co op group. Tomorrow is the big day. We eat we play we pray and we do it some more and open a gift too. Be prepared to make and help decorate a ginger bread house. 🎁🎉 It will be a group effort and each family will get to take one home. 🏣⛪🕋⛩️🕍🕌🏭🌃
I am working late getting all the details ready for our awesome planning meeting and I wanted to remind you all to be at the Church no later than 11:25AM to get your kids settled into the wrap up room to hang while we have our meeting across the hall THAT WILL BEGIN AT 11:30AM
***ALL CHILDREN WILL BE IN THE WRAP UP ROOM AND THE DOORS WILL BE CLOSED ONCE WE BEGIN OUR MEETING THERE WILL BE NO POTTY BREAKS AND SO PLEASE TAKE YOUR KIDS TO THE POTTY BEFORE HAND. I NEED THE HALLS TO BE EMPTY AND NO KIDS RUNNING EVERYWHERE AS I COULD NOT GET HELPERS BY THE DOZEN AS I DESIRED

This is a reminder that our Spring class planning meeting is This Thursday Nov. 30th at11:30 am please be prepared to offer 2 or more class suggestions. We are making this a mandatory meeting and I am aware of those who are out of town and won't make it.i already have Thier suggestions and input. Please be prepared for this meeting.
Bring your folders we provided at the beginning of classes this Semester. Also bring your calendars and a pencil. We should be able to breeze right through this meeting. Ever family must have one parent activley involved in each of our Co op classes.
We want to remind every this is a co-op and involvement is necessary to be successful.
With all of the families we have, our Spring class line up should be remarkable.

Remember today is dress as your favorite character in a book or story. Or you can come dressed as a super hero if you wish...I am excited to see all the great new looks for our day.
Rules to remember..... Please nothing that is out of your personal bubble so nothing too BIG and nothing negative or evil or scary. We want to foster a safe welcoming environment.
Couple of things before class Thursday afternoon. If you have not paid your dues they are due this week. Please pay them to Laurel Peters Klenda.
We will meet in the wrap up room at the beginning of co op this week as we will be watching a special video and hear about a fantastic opportunity here in our local area to plug in and help make a difference. ( This will take the place of our Family time presentation)
FOR THIS REASON PLEASE BE ON TIME THURSDAY AFTERNOON. LOOK AT YOUR CALENDAR SCHEDULES YOU WERE GIVEN IN YOUR FOLDERS TO SEE WHAT TIME TO BE THERE. CLASSES NEED TO START ON TIME IN ORDER FOR TEACHERS TO GET THROUGH LESSONS.
